Highlights

Mount Fuji - The final point accessible by car at Mt. Fuji. Please note that we will visit the 5th Station if weather conditions allow. During the hiking season, access to the 5th Station is restricted, and a shuttle bus costing ¥2500 per person must be taken.
Lake Kawaguchiko - The second largest lake in the Mt. Fuji area, following Lake Yamanaka. You can view Mt. Fuji from the Kachi Kachi ropeway or take a cruise on Lake Kawaguchi.
Mt. Fuji 5th Station - The final point accessible by car at Mt. Fuji. Please be aware of weather conditions. During the hiking season, access to the 5th Station is restricted, and a shuttle bus costing ¥2100 per person must be taken.
Lake Ashinoko - Also known as Lake Ashi, Hakone Lake, or Ashinoko Lake, this scenic lake is located in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture in Honshū, Japan. You can enjoy a Pirate Cruise on Lake Ashi. If we follow the Mt. Fuji and Hakone itinerary.
Oshino Hakkai - A small village set in a picturesque location with 8 ponds, views of Mt. Fuji, and vendors selling food and souvenirs.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Historically, Fuji Yoshida’s Sengen Shrine was the common starting point for climbing Mt. Fuji from the north.
Arakurayama Sengen Park - An iconic pagoda situated on a hilltop facing Mt. Fuji in Arakurayama Sengen Park, accessible via 398 steps.
Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba - A traditional Japanese village. If time permits during the 9-hour trip and you choose the Mt. Fuji surroundings area itinerary.

A Lovely day trip - We chose the Hakone and Mt. Fuji tour. Haseeb our guide and driver was very good. He was flexible and showed us all that we wanted to see. We started the day at Hakone. We didn’t pirate ship transfer and then took the rope car to the top of a sulphuric mountain. Unfortunately we had a cloudy day but for a brief moment we were able to see the top of Mt Fuji. Haseeb took us to a few locations to see the surrounding area. He always asked us what we would like to do and how we would like to proceed. He was a very friendly guide. The company was very good to work with.

Nice Drive - We were unable to see Fuji, but, our driver was great and the scenery was lovely. Tokyo is huge!! Seemingly more so than NYC.

Great day, highly recommend - Zia was a great guide providing us with lots of insightful information about the areas we visited. It was obvious he had a good relationship with a lot of the locals which in turn made our experience better. Unfortunately, bad weather meant we couldn’t see Mt Fuji but everywhere we visited on the tour made up for the disappointment of that. Definitely recommend.

Wouldn't miss it for the world! - Our driver and guide, Usman was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to all the places we wanted to visit and took group photos for us. He stayed calm and professional, despite having to drive through peak hour Tokyo traffic on a Friday, morning and night. Mt Fuji was magnificent and we saw her from many different venues. The speed boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi was excellent and suggested by our guide. The meal at the local restaurant nearby was great.

Would highly recommend this tour - My family and I had an amazing day visiting Mt. Fuji & Hakone with Mr. Petteri our driver/expert guide. Our early morning hotel pickup was a definite time saver. We planned the course of the trip. The weather was quite favorable around Mt. Fuji & the lake area. I would definitely recommend this tour to our friends & family. Mr Petteri added his expert touch to accommodate ourselves within the time schedule.

Book this tour now! - This was an amazing tour! To start off, I completely screwed up and messed up my arrival day in Tokyo. I got a text message informing me that my driver was at the hotel waiting for me, however I was still on the plane en route to Japan. This mistake was 100% on my end as I did not take into account the international date line. The tour company rebooked me for the following day no problem. The tour itself was amazing. My tour guide was named Zia, and he was amazing. He promptly arrived and spoke very good English. He also had a vast knowledge of the sites and was enthusiastic to talk about them! I had been on a similar tour of Mount Fuji before, so he asked if he could alter the itinerary so I didn't see everything twice. He informed me that I was "very lucky," as it was a clear and beautiful day! I agreed! The photos I got of Mount Fuji were spectacular! I was a solo traveler and Zia made sure that I had every opportunity to get my picture taken. I highly recommend this tour! It is private and wonderful! Thank you again Zia for a memorable tour!

Definitely do a private tour - We had an amazing experience with Zia as our tour guide! He was attentive, patient, and incredibly easy to talk to. Zia had a well-planned itinerary that ensured we saw all the highlights, but he was also flexible and allowed us to shape our own adventure. His recommendations for dining, shopping, and activities were spot on, and his knowledge of Japan and various cultures made the trip even more enriching. Zia was also a safe and reliable driver, which made us feel completely comfortable throughout our journey. We truly enjoyed our time with him and couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Not recommended - I don't recommend booking this tour as it wasn't a pleasant experience. The only good thing is that the girl providing the service was on time and polite but it was only a private transportation service. Don't expect a guide. We asked general questions and she gave limited answers, it was understandable for security reasons as she was driving. However, when we reach each location she didn't explain anything of the places. She only drove us there without any description or context or actual guidance of what to visit. She dropped us in each location (Oshino Hakkai, Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt. Fuji 5th St.) and then she stayed in the van or run different errands. The worst place was in Lake Kawaguchiko where she just dropped us at the parking lot far for anything to see or do. I contacted the admin in advance to let them know I use a wheelchair. So when lunch time came, the driver took us to a nice traditional restaurant but wasn't wheelchair accessible, so we didn't eat. As overall, it wasn't a nice or even okay experience. I understand there are always hiccups but for our 3 weeks travel we booked several agencies and this tour was the worst of all we did.

Awesome Guide but Terrible tour in general - Our driver and guide was great. No complaints there. He was very polite and helpful. However, the tour itself is not great. The agency makes it seem better than it is. It was all very underwhelming and not worth the price.
