Amazing tour experience! - 8-10 Hours is not enough time to see Tokyo, but this tour gave us a definite boost in our Tokyo experience. Shawn, our tour guide, did an amazing job and was a great help as we were traveling with young children, 4 and 6 years old.
Though public transit is robust in Tokyo, if you’re traveling with young children it isn’t ideal. I definitely recommend this tour for young families. If other guides are like Shawn, you won’t go wrong booking this tour.

Jamil ensured we had a perfect day in Tokyo - We were fortunate to have Jamil as our driver/guide. He took us through all of the Tokyo sites we hoped to see, plus made sure my husband enjoyed the day to the max. He is one of the best (and we have had many driver/guides in the past).
Jamil had a “can-do” attitude, offering suggestions and asking our preferences. Incidentally he is fluent in Japanese, English, snd Arabic, as well as his two native languages.
My husband has difficulty walking distances, so what did Jamil do? He used his Japanese fluency, charm, and site knowledge to borrow a wheelchair from an attraction. Then he pushed my husband throughout the afternoon, in turn making out threesome into a front-of-the-line “priority” group in ticket and elevator lines.
He personally accompanied us on visits to the oldest temple, shrines, the Sky Tree, and Fish Market. He searched five pharmacies for my husband’s forgotten medical device.
Jamil was an excellent driver snd ensured we experienced more than we could on our own or with a large tour.
Add a touch of humor, and Jamil made our second day in Tokyo one to remember. We will recommend him to our friends.

Tokyo tour - Ashan communicated before the tour and arranged where we would meet and gave us a choice of the time. He was very punctual in picking us up. He speaks good English, is very polite and respectful and also a good driver. We had a list of what we wanted to see and he took us to each one. It was a very nice time and we saw a lot of Tokyo. We would have done another tour with him if we had not already booked one with the cruise line that we were on. You won’t go wrong booking with Ashan.

Communication could have been better, but the day-of experience was good. - Communication could have been better - I had to initiate/engage for more info both times: once after I booked and a couple of days before the actual tour day (e.g. confirmation, itinerary). More pre-emptive contact would have been nice.
Day of was fine. I received whatsapp messages from the guide for figuring out a meetup location. Guide was helpful with loading our bags. We requested pickup from Yokohama port, a tour of Tokyo, and then drop off at Haneda airport which all worked out well. Due to traffic, we were only able to see 3 sites (spent about an hour at each) but that's not the fault of the tour.

Very nice but more driver than guide. - Going through Tokyo to the sites that we asked about. The shrine was nice. We didn’t go to two of the sites that we asked about due to time. We were driven to the Imperial Palace but it was closed.

TERRIBLE - THIS IS NOT A TOUR! IS MORE LIKE A RENTAL CAR SERVICE!! We were so upset, because we wanted a tour of Tokyo, but we got something completely different. To start of the driver was new to Tokyo so didn’t know much, and he would just drop us off in places with no guidance or anything and then he would txt us for pick up, the description said 8-10hrs and the guy was in a hurry to drop us off exactly at 8hrs…. No flexibility nor accommodation
I want my money back!
Very bad service, this was so expensive and the quality was terrible, we could had done this on our own

Bad Tour - This expensive tour was more like a taxi service from spot to spot. Driver, Aziz, was very polite and congenial. However he really didn’t prove much tour information. I think we would have had a much better experience on a hop on hop off tour. At a much lower cost.

Not a great experience - Unfortunately I think your experience with this tour will depend hugely on who you get. I booked based on a large number of positive reviews however our experience was not a positive one. We would have had the same if not better experience hopping into taxis to take us around. Our driver was late picking us up, there was some traffic’s incident and this was communicated to us however they then went to and waited at the wrong hotel so by the time we got going we were an hour behind. Virtually no information about the sights or history or anything. Dropped us at places without even telling us the name just that it was a temple. Took us to the fish market even though it was closed that day. Based on our experiences with guides on other tours our guide’s English wasn’t great and they did not seem to comfortable communicating with us, they were not Japanese either so I wonder what depth of guide knowledge they actually had. Very disappointing, this was an expensive tour.
