We had a wonderful... - We had a wonderful excursion to Tomar sites with our private guide Simone.
It was a great way to spend our first day in the Lisbon area.
We always check Viator for places to visit in our free time.

Tomar and Knights of Templar - We took a Van Go tour by private van with Miguel Alves on a Knights of Templar all day tour from Lisbon to Tomar, Constancia, and a few other places in that area of Portugal. Miguel’s English was superb and he knew so much about the history of the Knights Templar, their Temple, as well as the churches and castles in the area around Tomar. We learned so much from him and enjoyed going through the churches and castles and Templar Temple with him as he pointed out and explained things we would have missed. We had a great time. He recommended a great restaurant by the river in Tomar. My octopus was so tender and perfectly prepared. We also learned a lot about olives and wines in the region. This was a 5+ stars tour with an exceptional guide. It was exactly what we wanted to do and learn more about! I highly recommend Miguel and Van Go tours.

Tour of Tomar and Almourol Castle - Excellent tour! Susanna was a wonderful tour. She was like having a good friend show us around Portugal. The sites that we saw were wonderful. There was plenty of time to see everything that we wanted to see and also have a very good lunch. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in Tomar and the Knights Templar. It is also just an excellent way to see other sites in Portugal outside of the larger cities.

Great day! - Our guide, Susana, was fantastic! The sights were spectacular- and she was extremely knowledgeable concerning all aspects of the historical aspects. She accommodated All of our requests and was extremely flexible, personable and enjoyable to spend the day with.

Fantastic guide and experience - Susana was an exceptional guide. Her love of and knowledge of the region was wonderful. We experienced an entire day of information, laughter and local culture. At the end of the day it felt like we were leaving a new friend. We highly recommend the tour and Susana.

Special tour guide and wonderful family experience. - This tour was a highlight of our trip to Lisbon. While the historic sites were incredible, our guide Susana was what made it special. She was very knowledgeable, gracious, quick to answer questions and accommodating of the needs of a diverse group (adults, teenagers and elderly parents with mobility challenges). She made sure that everyone in the group had a good time and got the most out of the experience. She offered ideas about places to explore in Lisbon and wonderful suggestions for restaurants. We had such a good time, we immediately booked a second tour with her. We are definitely going back and hope to book another tour with Susana.

Perfect Tour! - My husband and I had scheduled the Tomar tour for the day. Susana picked us up at our apartment and we were off. Susana was lovely - so informative and nice. Best part was that she really customized the tour to what we wanted to do. I mentioned that I had heard there were caves up by Tomar and she arranged to take us on a tour which my husband LOVED. I also mentioned that we had wanted to visit Fatima so she worked that in too! We enjoyed the tour (and Susana) so much that my husband booked her again for the following week to take he and a friend to Porto. 100% recommend - and ask for Susana if you can - she even sent me pictures of both trips which was very appreciated!!!

Great tour but make your own lunch arrangements - Paulo was very knowledgeable and provided a great day. Lunch booking at a restaurant serving heavy historic food a little odd given lunch not included but we skipped and found a great little cafe.
