Tour guide was on time. Just the five of us plus the guide. For the first 15-20 minutes, it wasn't clear we were on the right tour because there was no mention of ghosts at all. Zero. Then came the ghost stories, such as they are. The stories were told well enough, but I was not blown away. And at the end, the ham-handed prompt to leave a tip was inartful, at best. So, overall, it was fine. But just fine. Not good and not great.

I am compelled to share our recent negative experience with Ghost City Tours on our ghost tour at 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Unfortunately, our guide, a middle-aged man who did not introduce himself, displayed highly inappropriate behavior throughout the evening.
From the onset, he made uncomfortable and rude comments towards various group members, including making derogatory remarks about an 11-year-old girl's education, which was uncalled for and unprofessional. His lack of sensitivity and respect was startling and set a negative tone for the rest of the tour.
Additionally, the guide failed to ensure that all group members were together before sharing information about the sites, which caused several participants to miss out on parts of the experience. His communication style was condescending; for instance, he sarcastically commented on my posture and openly criticized me in front of the group when I did not respond to his remark about a supposed test at the end of the tour.
His behavior escalated when one of the group members identified themselves as a teacher. The guide took this as an opportunity to express his disdain for teaching, which was particularly offensive given that many of us in the group are educators.
The culmination of this disappointing tour was his request for applause at the end, which he received very little of, reflecting the group's dissatisfaction. Notably, no one felt compelled to leave a tip, which speaks volumes about the overall displeasure with his guidance.
In summary, this individual’s conduct was unprofessional and unsuitable for a role that should encompass respect and enthusiasm for guest interaction. I would strongly advise Ghost City Tours to reevaluate this guide's fit for this position as it greatly impacted our experience negatively.
