Excellent tour, knowledgeable host, yummy treats - We loved our experience at the chocolate tour. We were a party of 8 with age ranging from 83 to 6 year old and this was an enjoyable experience for all of us. We lovedaking our own chocolate and the host was extremely knowledgeable l. She explained history and also various products/by products of cacao tree as well as the pollination process of the tree. It was a very interesting tour, glad we could make it.

Phenomenal Experience - This is a local, family-owned business, and the experience was phenomenal. It’s very small, but that’s part of what makes it so perfect. The girls we met were incredibly friendly and informative, the chocolate-making process was so much fun (and very educational), and the quality of the chocolate (and the other products they make and sell) is top-notch. I love dark chocolate, but if you’ve never had fresh cacao, you might want to stick to the sweeter side (50% or less) when you add the sugar. We can’t wait to bring our family here next time. Everything was reasonably priced as well, and the experience overall couldn’t have been better. This is a must-do if you come to the area. Skip the big Vallarta chocolate places. This place is definitely worth it and more.

Excellent hands on chocolate experience - What a wonderful quick little tour. The tour guides were informative and extremely pleasant. Not only that we get a history of chocolate, we got two experience, the chocolate making process in the hands-on fashion. This is something I will definitely come back and be doing with my family and friends and the future, given the price point and how quick it is. It can fit into any itinerary. Loved it, I will be back.

Preserving delicious history! - Planeta Cacao was established by a teacher/student pair who are passionate about preserving Mexico's rich contributions to the proliferation of this plant. The tour was informative and interesting. The whole itinerary feels short but is fun and a great quick excursion for chocoholics. Huge thanks to Millie and Aldo!
