Niagara made easy - I was picked up in a comfortable vehicle. James, our guide for the day, explained the day’s programme and expertly drove us, giving tidbits of interesting facts along the way. The falls of course, were fantastic. I opted for the option to go behind the falls and though this was an amazing demonstration of the power of the falls, the better photos were at the top due to the mist.

Great experience! - Had a great tour! The hotel concierge recommended Grayline and I spent hours looking at options and then ultimately settled back with them. I wanted to see Niagara on the Lake and I’m glad we did! It’s very cute and I would have liked more time there. We weren’t supposed to do the maple tasting with this tour, but we had time, so we did. It was fine-very commercialized and like a fancy truck stop. I wouldn’t choose it on my own. We also did the wine tasting and it was a lovely spot, but I didn’t like any of their wines. A few tips—give yourself extra time to get to the morning meeting spot. And do NOT rely on the free poncho for the boat ride unless you want to get soaked. I brought better disposable raincoats and boot covers I found on Amazon. There is no mist—it is a full shower experience. We still had soaked sleeves, gloves, knees and anything else that was exposed. As it was November and cold outside, we didn’t dry fast and being wet all day is rough. I did the optional lunch mainly to make sure my daughter was fed and didn’t get hangry. It was pretty decent, but nothing exciting. Nice views and I’m glad we did it because it appears to just be a bunch of junk shops and fast food in the area. Overall it was a great trip and I think a tour is the way to go!

Reserve an extra day in Toronto for this - I don’t usually do guided tours but Sam and Alex were great. The drive was comfortable and they gave us great tips! What a beautiful day!

Best tour I’ve ever been on! - We had such a good time on this tour. Mike is a great tour guide and managed to provide us with loads of really interesting information in a fun way. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn a bit about the area on the way to niagara and to have a great day overall.

Fun tour - The tour instructions were relatively easy to follow and the meet up spot was great for a quick cup of coffee (Tim Horton's). We rode on a bus with our tour guide , Peter who gave great commentary and inserted a few funny jokes along the way. The tour was a great mix of activity and sightseeing with Niagra Falls, Niagra Village, and a wine tasting at the end at Hare Wine. We did add on the lunch which we did not think was the worth the money in any way. We would have preferred to eat on our own as the buffet in the Sheraton was honestly very mediocre almost terrible quality. Definitely get lunch on your own!!

Overall would recommend, with some reservations. DO NOT BUY THE SHERATON BUFFET LUNCH! - Overall, I would recommend this trip, with the following notes: We were crammed into a Cadillac Escalade. I was expecting a bus or a van. The round trip took a full 9 hours, but easily could have been cut down to 6. The winery was awful and pointless and should be cut from the tour. They should really tell guests who are taking the boat ride exactly what to wear/not wear. The amount of water was ridiculous, with no towels or anything to help dry off afterward. The tour guide/driver, James, was polite and quiet, but not entertaining or particularly informative. THE BUFFET LUNCH AT THE SHERATON WAS PURE GARBAGE. Do not, under any circumstances, pay for this lunch. I am a foodie but I respect a good hotel buffet. This was not it. It was dirty, disgusting slop. The only good part was the view. Now for the good: If you're good at taking pictures, it is worth the trip. It is pleasant to have someone else drive. The little town we stopped in to shop was cute and had some interesting stories and clean public restrooms. Again, overall, I would recommend this trip to those who have never been to Niagara Falls before. If you are coming from Toronto, it is worth it to have someone else drive - the drive itself is not pleasant and you can sleep. Just don't buy the lunch.
