Highlights
  • Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library - One of Canada’s most incredible rare book collections holds hundreds of thousands of gorgeous tomes that the general public can touch.

  • Kensington Market - Kensington has long been an artists’ hub and thanks to its distinctly wonderful eclectic and bohemian vibe it is the best hipster hangout in the city. Seek out charming cafés, the city’s best Mexican snack foods, decades-old vintage stores, record shops and tasty vegan lunch joints.

  • University of Toronto - Admire the architecture of the campus which is epitomized by a combination of Romanesque and Gothic Revival buildings, most dating between 1858 and 1929.

  • Old City Hall - The Old City Hall, located off Queen and Bay St in the heart of downtown Toronto, was designed in Romanesque-style and completed in 1899 by E.J. Lennox, a prominent Toronto architect during that time. It remains one of the city’s most prominent structures.

  • St. Lawrence Market - Since 1803 the city’s top spot for fresh produce, delicious eats and artisanal goods.

  • Sugar Beach - One of the city’s favorite summer pastimes is flocking to Toronto’s beaches and luckily there are plenty of beaches in Toronto.

  • Distillery District - The pedestrian-only Distillery District, set in quaint 19th century buildings that once housed a large whiskey distillery, draws crowds to its cobblestone streets lined with hip indie restaurants, bars and boutiques. Art lovers come for the galleries, outdoor sculptures and dance, music and stage performances at the area’s several theatres.

Fabulous day and guide - We loved our tour of Toronto with Ryan. Ryan met us at our hotel which was a little way out of the city, an absolute blessing because we would never have found our way around. We covered so much ground and really got to see so many of the sights. Ryan let us go at our own pace and spend as much time as we wanted looking and absorbing the atmosphere. We felt like locals getting to experience not only the touristy things but got to experience many of the local delights. I would have liked a little more of the history of the buildings, but we really got to see a lot. My 18-year-old son was really taken with Ryan he is a good people person. Ryan gave us great recommendations and he came all the way back with us to make sure we got back safely.
