Toronto Islands - We will board our Voyageur Canoe at Centre Island and learn how to paddle as a team, just like the Voyageurs did long ago. Everyone will wear life jackets, and I will be with you in the canoe, assisting with proper canoe strokes and sharing information about the islands and Fur Trade History. We’ll take breaks to observe some flora and fauna and snap numerous pictures. A must-visit spot will be Toronto Harbour for the most Instagrammable photo opportunity with the stunning city skyline. In this 1-hour program, we will explore most of the park. The Toronto Islands Archipelago spans about 5 km and consists of around 15 islands. We will paddle through the sheltered and scenic channels to gain a unique, magical perspective on the islands. The islands’ park is located close to downtown Toronto and is accessible by a short 10-minute ferry ride. It is rightly considered the most beautiful park, and while the park usually has many visitors, the waterways remain calm and secluded.
