Wild kangaroos and koalas along the way! Long day jam packed with lots of beautiful attractions. - We were able to see wild kangaroos and koalas on this tour! The view at each of the lookouts were amazing. Shoutout to Aaron, our tour guide who did nearly 8 hours of driving and informative talks! He gave lots of introductions and facts about each place we were visiting, from the Indigenous People to the story of the Loch Ard Gorge. The day was very full and concise from 7am to 9:30pm, with each visit being just the right amount of time to see everything and go to the washroom, but not too much time to delay the whole trip. It is a super long day trip for the price, so rest the day before and after is important.

Good day out - This is a long day but it is broken up well with sights and stops. Well paced. Our driver, Sherif, was an excellent guide. Very friendly and lots of good information about the things we saw. Would recommend.

Great experience - We loved this tour. Beautiful scenery. The only issue for me is that as a celiac I need more time for finding lunch or dinner on my own. I am used to watching them pass out snacks that I can’t have but 30 minutes to find dinner in a strange town does not work well for people with food restrictions Our guide Terry was great. Knowledgable and a good sense of humor

Great tour - highly suggest! - The guide Mark did a great job in terms of sharing pertinent information before each stop. The trip was very comfortable and we got a lot of perspective on each spot from Mark Including the rainforest, apostles and other areas. Highly recommend - very well done!

Excellent tour company gives beautiful tour - Great tour. The great ocean road is super pretty. Our tour guide Sherif was very knowledgeable and clearly explained the context of everything we saw in a way that was interesting and engaging. He was able to expertly control the group whilst still giving us the agency to see the sights on our own terms. Would definitely recommend!

Great Amazing and Friendly - Sherif was the best tour guide I’ve had. He clearly gave directions on where to go, and before getting there he had stories to tell. He was friendly and funny and all around great vibes! I would for sure go on another tour with him as a guide.

Nice drive! Spectacular views at Lord Ard Gorge (end of the trip) - This trip takes about 10 ½ hours. Most of the stops were good but not great with exception to the Loch Ard Gorge. If there was a tour that takes you straight to Lord Ard Gorge as this location is breath taking. I checked Google maps, it takes about 3 hours one way to get to Lord Ard Gorge. Our driver from Go West Tours, Terry was a responsible driver, professional and somewhat patient. I normally tip the drivers as you can appreciate the long driving they have to do and keep focused on the road. The only suggestion I would like to point out to Go West Tours that if they can factor one of the first stop at a Café as the tour starts quite early (around 7am). I appreciate our tour driver, Terry had instant coffee, tea and cake on hand but sometimes you need a proper espresso to get you started. Weather: We did this trip in early December but temperatures were dropping to 10°C at night and during the day it goes up to 24°C. Make sure to have a jacket and a cap.

Go to Phillip Island instead! - This company (Go West) has a phenomenal tour to Phillip Island that is well-organized and worth a full day of bus travel. This tour, however, left me feeling like I wasted a full day. First: this tour is 10+ hours long with 7+ hours of that time spent on the bus; approx. 5 hours of that travel was inland with no ocean views. "Breakfast included" is instant coffee and cake, and each food stop thereafter is less than a hour - way too short to enjoy a meal on holiday. The restrooms at every stop had lines 20+ minutes long and this company accounted for 3 busses of people at each stop, each following the same schedule. Our tour guide repeatedly threatened to leave behind guests if we were in the line for the restroom at the designated departure time, even if the stop itself was only 20 minutes long. None of the stops took my breath away or made me feel like the trip was worth it. The rainforest was super cool, but again, we were only allowed 20 minutes there. The worst part is arguably the "dinner" stop which was 30 minutes in a ghost town with food options that ranged from awful to worse (McDonald's/KFC or a small 'noodles canteen' that they were obviously trying to peddle business to). The bus is tiny, your knees will be into the back of the person in front of you. The seatbelts sit in such a way that they dig into your neck. Wifi on the bus goes in and out, which is understandable, but the tour guide also drove in silence without so much as elevator music for the 2-hour drive back. The best part of the bus ride was actually a spider we lovingly named Steven who built a web right at eye level at the back of the tour bus, conveniently behind my head. (They obviously don't clean the bus because there were also items left behind from a tour the day prior.) Save yourself, go on the Phillip Island Penguin Parade tour instead (ask for Israel, he's the bee's knees!) The Great Ocean road tour is garbage.
