Great, to repeat - We did the turtle spawning tour with Karla and it was a unique experience. We dressed in black and went on the 10pm tour because we are more likely to see them. We did a walk with flashlights of about 10-15 min until we reached the site, there karla was explaining the whole process of spawning the turtles and other curiosities until our turn. It was amazing the experience we could see 1 meter away the spawning. I really liked them because they respect the privacy of the animals, people were silent and everyone's turn was respected. Of course I would repeat!!

Excellent experience! - We did several tours with the people of Chelonia Tours.
Karla organized everything, IMPECCABLE.
Diana took us to see turtles spawn, Abel guided us to the top of Tortoise Hill and with Antonio we toured the canals by canoe.
Recommended everything, 100%

An excellent adventure! - Having arrived from Germany two days earlier, this was our first activity in Costa Rica: Couldn't have been better.
During the night (night walk) we saw giant turtles, snakes, ant villages, during the day (canoe trip) different types of birds, crocodiles, alligators, sloths, iguanas..
I would choose this company once again. Thanks for everything, Pura Vida!

Unforgettable night hike - We did an exciting night hike with Karla. She explained everything about the trial. Then we saw first a turtle that went back into the sea and finally a turtle that laid its eggs. It was incredible. Carla was very gentle and respectful. An unforgettable experience!

Turtle viewing July 2024 - We had an unforgettable experience with Karla. On our night walk in the National Park we saw several turtles on the beach. Two of them we saw up close, laying eggs and covering their nests. All supervised by official park rangers.
Karla explained everything about the turtles in a friendly and professional way. She is a local who takes pride in what she does and she can help you organise your activities at a reasonable price.

Respectful of nature! - Karla is so kind and worked so hard to ensure a good experience for our kids (youngest is age 11). She is respectful of the wildlife and for that reason, we waited patiently to see the turtle laying eggs instead of disrupting the process. It was an experience we won't forget!

An unforgettable experience - It has been a real pleasure to have put ourselves in the hands of Karla from Chelonia Tours. We have taken the tour through the Tortuguero canals and the night tour with her and it has been one of the best experiences we have had in Costa Rica. We have seen sloths with their babies, snakes, alligators and all kinds of fauna... The jaguar was missing to make the icing on the cake😊

Very good experience. Karla and Antonio are very nice and professional - We were a group of friends last March and we booked with Karla both the night tour and the canal tour. Both excursions were in small groups allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.
I totally recommend hiring excursions with this company. In addition, both Karla and Antonio gave us many good recommendations about what to do and where to eat/dine in Tortuguero.

Incredible Tortuguero and with Karla and Antonio superior!! - Antonio and Karla run their business with closeness, friendliness and a lot of dedication. We were able to see many animals on the night walk, and we also learned to call the frogs.
