Kinoshita-Kabuki “Sannin Kichisa Kuruwa no Hatsugai”
Kinoshita-Kabuki is a premier Japanese company known for its contemporary interpretations of Kabuki plays. The company is now presenting a masterpiece set in Edo, penned by the renowned Kabuki playwright Mokuami Kawatake during the dynamic late Edo period. Critic Shoyo Tsubouchi has lauded Kawatake as the “Shakespeare of our time and our country.”
The performance will be in Japanese. Portable English subtitle devices will be provided at the theater.
