This is a Must!! - Great trip. They simply drive you to Carcassone, give you fast pass tickets and you are on your own. There is plenty of time to explore and enjoy a delicious meal.

Worthwhile experience! - An amazing experience! Beautiful city, bus tour dropped us off right at the front door of the city and we got plenty of time to see the amazing views and shops.

Charisma and culture of Carcassonne. - Great trip to Carcassonne, a beautiful medieval city with a great castle within and very tasty food available everywhere within. My only criticism is maybe too much time to kill for a solo traveller.

Great trip to Carcarsonne - Don't expect a commentary on this trip: it's just bus transport to/from Carcarsonne. However you do have more than enough time to look all around Carcarsonne - maybe too much time! Our trip had a delayed start as the bus had to be changed for a larger bus. However the tour operator gave us extra time at the end. Carcarsonne was definitely worth visiting! Comtale Castel tour and ramparts walk was the highlight - but try to do it in the morning as it gets super hot later in the day.

Good value but too much time - The bus service was prompt, and the ticket/transportation is good value especially as it included the comical castle and ramparts. The tour info said it departs back to Toulouse at 3:45 pm but it was actually was 4:30. My suggestion is to depart at 3:30 as that is plenty of time and leaving at 4:30 pm did not arrive back until 6:30 due to rush hour congestion. You can go to tourist office at carcass one and book guided tour for 12 euros.

Don't expect much - The fort and village are beautiful but it really is a tourist trap . Nothing to do apart from eat and buy gifts. We went up on the ramparts and decided to do half then have a coffee, however we were then told we could not re-enter. No fault of Viator who just dropped us there from Toulouse

Buy a train ticket to Carcassonne - Would take the train next time. There was delay in the morning because we didn’t fit all in the bus, so they needed to get a bus with more seats. I calculated that train would have been faster and at certain times cheaper. The trainstation wasn’t that far away from the old fortified city of Carcassonne (walkable). The tour was nothing more than the bus ride and a ticket to the castle (last you can buy online as well). I didn’t do much research beforehand, hence taking this easier option, but it wasn’t worth it.
