Amazing Tour - A Must Do in Toulouse - This is an absolutely marvelous tour in English that goes far beyond tasting delicious food. My family and I highly recommend it! It is NOT TO BE MISSED while you’re in Toulouse! In this tour, Jessica, the founder of Taste of Toulouse, guides you through the market, sharing her expertise on selecting baguettes, cheeses, meats, fruits, desserts, and more. The experience begins with tasting a baguette and a "chocolatine" (the Toulousian term for “pain au chocolat”). Then, you shop for the ingredients needed to create a beautiful charcuterie board. Finally, the group gathers around a table, where Jessica artfully arranges the selections, which are enjoyed together with a rosé and red wine. One other aspect that makes the tour interesting is that Jessica is selecting most of the food as you go - only a couple of items were pre-ordered or pre-selected. This means each tour offers a unique experience, and the foods and cheeses available will vary throughout the year based on what is in season. Throughout the experience, Jessica also shares a wealth of interesting cultural and historical information with you - everything from why the Victor Hugo market is on the ground floor of a parking garage to “Le Meillure” title hard-earned by many artisans in France. My family and I were part of a small group of 6, which is an ideal size for the experience. We got to experience the tour with other travelers from around the world, but yet the group was still small enough that we could connect with Jessica, hear everything she was saying, and ask questions.

Great tour - Jessica was a fanatical guide. We had a great overview of everything that is important and you just don't know if you just visit the market and look at the stands. We know the difference between good and less good baguette and so much more. Not only did you taste great products, you also learned a lot. Thank you Jessica and see you soon

Best thing we did in Toulouse - incredible! - Ally was a fantastic guide, from start to finish the tour was catered to our interests and tastes. The hours flew by. It was mixed well with walking in the market, going outside to try the cuisine, meeting local vendors. Ally was a professional to her fingertips and had a wealth of knowledge on all things French cuisine & the history of Toulouse. From cheese to foie gras to desserts - every desire from your palette was covered. A personal highlight was sampling the different cheeses. I don’t eat meat (my partner does) and the tour was also catered for both of us. Merci beaucoup, Ally!

An insightful, gourmet experience - What an incredible food market Victor Hugo is - the quality is just superb! And we were so pleased to have Teana to navigate it for us, share her pearls of wisdom and choose the most delicious selection of foods for us to try. There was even some food left over which Teana kindly wrapped up for us to take back to our apartment and enjoy later. Thank you so much! We highly recommend this tour.

A must do on your first day in Toulouse - We're glad we booked this tour for our first day, it showed us all the tasty products we could get from the Victor Hugo market and we did go back every day we stayed in Toulouse! We started this tour very hungry as it was at 10am and then didn't need to eat or drink anything again until the evening when we had dinner, you'll need your appetite. Delicious meats, some French delicacies and recommendations that we did use later in our trip. this is a trip we'd definitely recommend to others for their first time in Toulouse and to anyone who wants to meet new people doing the things you enjoy the most - eating and drinking. The only regret we have is not taking a picture of all the things we were able to try!
