Excellent guide - The guide was excellent. She was expert in the history of the Chateaus and surrounding area. Great driver, interesting and amusing historical antidotes , and very kind. Timing at both locations was spot on.

Easy going, easy to understand, and enjoyable guide Alex gave meaning to chateau life. - This tour began our visit to the Loire Valley in good stead. Our guide Alex, promptly picked us up at our hotel in Tours. Her expertise with our English language made for an enjoyable experience. She shared a vast knowledge of the history of the royals and how they lived in these chateaux. We especially liked the quirky shared tidbits. You will not go wrong with your request for her guidance.

Loire Valley Castle Tour - Both Chenonceau and Chambord castles were spectacular. Dimitri our private guide was terrific. He made sure to provide enough information without overloading us with dates and names etc. Further, he took the time to answer all of our questions, and make sure we had some time to explore on our own. Totally recommend this excursion if you are looking for a hassle free day of sightseeing.

French chateaus experience - Stephen was a very good guide. Very good explanations provided of each of the chateaus visited and hosted the lunch at the lunch at the private chateau. I really enjoyed the whole experience and the lunch was excellent. I had wanted to see these chateau for years and wasn't disappointed.

Must experience the French chateaus - We were lucky to get Marion as our guide. She was knowledgeable about Chambord and Chenenceau. We enjoyed seeing th chateaus, learning about their histories, and having her share points of interests with us. It was one of the most memorable experiences on our family trip to France.

No better way to see two famous and one less famous Chateaux’s - Marion did a super job of explaining just enough history of both the politics and architecture of the times represented to bring it all together. Links between the 3 Chateaux’s were cleverly exposed which makes the learning much more fun. Plenty of time to see sights after the explanation of each. I say plenty of time, but really I would need hours at each location to see and photograph all I would normally want to, so I have to be reasonable. Would definitely take a tour with her again.

Efficient but rushed - It was overall a lovely but rushed day. This is not really the fault of the tour company per se; but honestly, due to the drive time involved in getting to and back from the Chateaus, the actual time left to spend at the Chateaus felt very rushed. This is definitely more of an "introduction" type of experience due to the limited time. We did not get to see all the gardnes on the properties as had to rush to catch the van back. For those with limited time and no car, it's a great way to get a taste of the Chateaus. If you really want to explore and enjoy the gardens in a more in-depth, leisurely fashion, I can see why doing it on your own is probably the way to go.
