Loire valley day tour - What a great tour this was! Alex was a wonderful and knowledgable guide and she went out of her way to make everyone comfortable and even served lunch!

Not Much to Not Like! - Even though the weather during October wasn't the best - cold and cloudy - my husband and I very much enjoyed this in-depth tour of two chateaux. Alex, our wonderful young lady guide and driver, picked us up in Tours and we were joined by two other super nice couples. Comfortable van to travel in with Alex who shared her vast knowledge of the region, keeping us informed and entertained along the way. Words of warning for older folks - we are an older couple who keep in shape, but we ended up exhausted after this day. There is quite a bit of walking and climbing stairs in and around these old historical estates. The chateaux are HUGE! Very beautiful, extremely picturesque and really big with lots of great photos ops! In between visiting the two chateaux, this trip also included Alex facilitating a simple lunch at another private chateau. Lunch was prepared by the owner who is a countess - I thought that was really special! Our meal consisted of pork rillettes, cheese board with four different kinds of fromage, bread, a simple green salad, and quiche Lorraine. Everything was delicious, but - only constructive criticism here - the quiche Lorraine was served lukewarm, almost cold, and would have been so much better if it had been kept hot. Especially since the weather was cold. We were served very good wine and water with our meal. Overall, we would highly recommend this efficiently organized and expertly guided fun trip! Fun and informative tour! - This was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Marion, grew up in the Loire so not only did she have excellent scholarly knowledge of the area, but she shared personal insight as a native. Chenonceu and Chambord are some of the most famous castles in the region, and having the guided tour made it easier to navigate the crowds while learning more than I had at past visits. The meal at the private chateau was delicious and a great way to engage with Marion as well as our fellow tour mates. Highly recommend!!

Tour very enjoyable - Sophie was very knowledgeable, kind, and entertaining as our tour guide. The chateaux’s were beautiful, lunch delicious, and history interesting. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Visit with the Dimitri Guide - Our Guide welcomed us kindly with his comments and punctuality. We want to keep a good memory of this excursion. If he did not answer our questions, he had the humility to say so and not to make up answers. I recommend this excursion if we only have a few days to spend in the lure.

Great way to get history in while leaving the driving to others - Great way to absorb the magnificent history of these castles and leave the driving to others. Very nice lunch at Chateau de Villesavin in the French country tradition. Highly recommend this English version tour if you only have a few days to explore the Loire. Get the most visits for your time!

Great day trip to chateaux in Loire Valley - This was an amazing day. It was perfectly paced. Alex, our guide provided just the right amount and level of information at the right time. Book the tour, it was an amazing experience! - This was a highlight of our trip to the Loire valley. The castles were spectacular, the lunch was authentic and delicious. Camille, our tour guide, was so fantastic. She was knowledgeable and fun, and had so many fun stories to tell about the families behind the castles. We are not typically tour people, but this might have converted us.
