Warm hospitality and delicious food - Burak and friends and family hosted us for a delightful evening of food prep, dining, Kurdish dancing and conversation. Our hosts could not have been kinder or more generous. We left with both our hearts and stomachs full. Wonderful food and truly lovely people.

Great vegan options - Those who think that Turkish cuisine consists only of kebab are very wrong. As anyone who comes to this experience can see, many vegan options cooked at home are also possible. It is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants to have fun and learn new things by cooking as if they were at home.

Very inviting - Very nice! It was a really interesting experience and I recommend this to anyone who wants to see how people cook and spend time together in Turkey. Also, it's amazing how rich the food can still be when you cook vegan in Turkey. And of course the delicious recipes from Maral and her Mother are priceless, but you have to be there for that! Definitely recommendable!

Home - There is more than just good food here. Here, a feeling is offered that we carry deep inside us. It is the feeling of being at home. The feeling of being together with the family after a hard day. The feeling of throwing away the school bag after school and following the scent from mum's kitchen. In Germany there is a saying: "Bei Mutti schmeckt's am besten". Sitting at the table with Maral and cutting fresh vegetables while her mother prepared a couscous salad was like meditation for me. All the dishes were delicious and there was even something left over.
