• Bodrum - Are you interested in experiencing Turkish coffee like a local, exploring local herbs and lokum (Turkish delight), and understanding their cultural significance?

To start, participants will visit a Turkish coffee shop to learn about the art of drinking Turkish coffee, including the best times and places to enjoy it. The guide will demonstrate how to prepare it, savor it using all five senses, perform fortune-telling with coffee grounds, and share fascinating stories about this tradition.

Next, the tour includes a visit to a local lokum store to delve deeper into this rich tradition and hear more captivating stories.

After a brief stroll through the historic streets of Bodrum, the group will arrive at a modern herbalist’s shop. This expert, who combines ancestral knowledge with modern expertise, will showcase traditional Turkish coffee brewing methods and provide insights into the herbs and spices of Anatolia, a key global center for natural healing resources. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about alternative treatment methods and learn about spices, herbal oils, pure soaps, herbal teas, and Turkish tea.

Tips will be provided to help you enjoy the best of Bodrum. Our herbalist is a member of the ‘Turkey Herbs & Aromatic Plant Growers Association.’
