Arrival in Trabzon and Hotel Check-in

Trabzon - Greetings and welcome to Trabzon! Upon your arrival at Trabzon Airport, our team will warmly greet you and escort you to your hotel located in the city center. Hotel check-in begins at 14:00. After settling in, you can either relax at the hotel or explore the vibrant city center (Meydan), which offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shopping options. If you wish to extend your stay in Trabzon, feel free to contact us before or during the tour.

Trabzon City Tour and Sera Lake

Trabzon Botanik Park - Spanning 103 decares, Trabzon Botanic Park is the Black Sea Region’s first and only botanical garden. After enjoying the park’s diverse plant life and social areas, we proceed to Trabzon Aquarium.

Trabzon Hagia Sophia Museum - Originally built as a Byzantine church in the 13th century, the Hagia Sophia, now a mosque, is renowned for its early Renaissance frescoes. After exploring the Hagia Sophia Mosque, its historical frescoes, and the artifacts in its garden, we head to Sera Lake Nature Park for lunch.

Sera Golu - Following a delightful lunch at a local restaurant by Sera Lake, we visit Boztepe Observation Terrace for a panoramic view of the city.

Boztepe - Enjoy a wonderful time at Boztepe Observation Terrace, featuring a 1200m walking path and three glass viewing terraces, perfect for watching the city’s stunning sunset.

Uzungol and Haldizen Valley

Demcay Gida - After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Uzungöl, stopping first at a tea factory. Here, we learn about tea production and the art of brewing the perfect cup, followed by a shopping break at the factory outlet.

Caykara - Continuing our journey through Solaklı Valley, we reach Uzungöl, surrounded by traditional village houses, tea, and hazelnut gardens.

Uzungol - Our visit to Uzungöl begins at the Observation Terrace, followed by a tour of the Artificial Waterfalls designed to protect the lake from flooding. You will have free time to enjoy various activities in Uzungöl and its surroundings, and to relax in charming restaurants and cafes with views of the lake and nature. We depart Uzungöl at 16:00, returning to the hotel for a restful evening.

Ayder Plateau and Storm Valley

Firtina Deresi - After breakfast, we head to Ayder Plateau, enjoying a scenic coastal drive to Fırtına Valley. Here, you can partake in activities like rafting, ziplining, and swinging before we continue to Ayder Plateau.

Ayder Yaylasi - Storm Valley, one of the world’s 200 ecological regions in need of protection, leads us to Ayder Plateau via the Çamlıhemşin road. We visit the stunning Gelintülü Waterfall at the base of Kaçkar Mountain, 1400m above sea level, and then enjoy free time on the plateau. During this time, you can take a leisurely walk and enjoy tea or coffee in front of Gelintülü Waterfall.

After sightseeing and free time, we reconvene at our tour vehicle at 16:00 and depart Ayder Plateau. Following a necessary break, our Ayder Plateau Tour concludes in Trabzon. We return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Sumela Monastery, Zigana, Hamsiköy, and Karaca Cave

Altindere Vadisi National Park - After breakfast, we embark on the Sumela Monastery tour, reaching Altındere National Park after a pleasant one-hour drive.

Sumela Monastery - We continue our journey using the National Park minibus and a 300m forest path to reach Sumela Monastery. Upon arrival, historical aqueducts, stone stairs, and visitor areas greet you. Before exploring the majestic and secluded Sumela Monastery, reminiscent of medieval castles, we take a short rest in the social area to enjoy the scenery.

We tour Sumela Monastery, including its main rock church, chapels, student rooms, library, guesthouse, holy spring, and more.

Zigana - After visiting Sumela, we return to our tour vehicle and head to Zigana Pass, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.

Zigana Pass, a crucial Silk Road passage, has historically connected Eastern Anatolia and Iran to the West. The New Zigana Tunnel, opened in April 2023, is the longest road tunnel in Europe.

Karaca Cave - We reach Karaca Cave via the 14.5 km New Zigana Tunnel. After exploring Karaca Cave, an art gallery of stalactites, stalagmites, and travertines, we pause at a factory outlet selling the famous Black Sea fruit pulp and köme.

Torul Glass Observation Terrace - Our next destination is Torul Glass Terrace. After experiencing the Glass Terrace, we proceed to Hamsiköy.

Hamsikoy - The Hamsiköy Road, also known as the Historical (Old) Zigana Road, offers breathtaking views. We make sure to visit Hamsiköy to savor its renowned rice pudding.

At the end of the day, our Sumela Monastery, Hamsiköy, and Karaca Cave Tour concludes in Trabzon. We return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Hıdırnebi Plateau and Çal Cave

Cal Magarasi - On the final day of our tour, after breakfast, we check out from the hotel and begin our journey to Çal Cave, considered the world’s second-longest cave. Located at 1050m above sea level in Çal Village, the cave is reached after an hour’s drive. After visiting the cave and taking a short break at nearby cafes, we head to Hıdırnebi Plateau.

Hidirnebi Yaylasi - After an hour’s drive, we arrive at Hıdırnebi Plateau, offering breathtaking views and natural beauty at 1600m above sea level. This oasis near the city is perfect for cooling off during hot summer months, with traditional highland life, a mosque, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues. Enjoy free time to explore Hıdırnebi’s natural wonders and capture stunning photos.

After sightseeing and free time, we meet at our tour vehicle at 16:00 and depart Hıdırnebi Plateau. At the end of the day, our tour concludes, and we transfer you to the airport or your hotel. We bid farewell, hoping to see you on another journey.
