Castle - The tour is so good as simple. Meeting point was at city center Zagreb, easy to find, but we late despite it. The guide was so kind and wait us for 15 minutes. A plus for those who is so bad in topology. Castle klimb was not too difficult, but still need to wear good shoes for gravy path. Dinner was in a reastaurant. Delicious more than expected. Thanks to Ned.

Excellent tour with an amazing guide! - Vanja was my tour guide for this all-day tour to Trakošćan castle and winery/restaurant. She was very knowledgeable about Croatia and so fun to talk with during several one-hour driving legs. Only 2 of us on the tour made for a personal experience. I had a few issues and she ensured I was accommodated (food allergies, stairs). She spoke perfect English (along with at least 4 other languages). Restaurant and winery we visited was off the beaten path but well known to locals. Stunning views from the top with excellent food and wine. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a more personalized experience. Zico Tours made accommodations for me from the start (communicative in email) to ensure I was able to go on this great tour. 5-stars for Vanja, Adam and Zico tours!

An excellent day of food, drink, and culture - We were so glad that we went on this tour with our guide, Robert. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. We learned a lot about Croatian history from what he shared, and from our visit to the spectacular castle. And the food and drink at the winery was the best I've had in months. Beautiful, relaxing views all around the countryside.

Charming Castle and Delicious Food and Wine - We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful castle and family-run winery. Our guide, Robert with Zico tours, was extremely knowledgeable and fun - he kept us laughing! A relaxing day day in the Croatian countryside with good food, company and delicious wine. We highly recommend this tour for those looking for a close day trip outside the city.

Castles and Great Food - Two castles and great food/wine. Our tour guide was Ned and out of a 14 day trip he was for sure the best guide we had!!! All four of us interacted with him well as well as him with us. Ned was professional, honest, knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. He was a great guide through the first castle giving us all the info on it. And was happy to suggest good picture taking spots and took the photos of our group for us. On the second castle he was respectful and kind to the owner and had a good relationship with her. Which was pleasant to witness. Then of course at Vuglec Breg restaurant the food and wine were tasty and Stef was a wonderful guide for the wine cellar and menu. So very impressed with this tour. It was very nice to let Ned drive and stress free as we were able to view and hear about the sights as he drove. We all highly recommend this tour.

Great day out - Ned was very friendly, knowledgeable and communicative including calling ahead to advise us of traffic delays. Trakoscan castle is very picturesque and a walk round the lake is recommended, especially on a sunny day. Lunch and wine tasting at Vuglec Breg was great; excellent wines and lovely strukli served by the friendly owner.

What a wonderful day! - Visiting the castles and interacting with our guide made for a delightful day. The winery and its views were amazing—delicious! I highly recommend this tour as a way to experience the countryside and learn some history about this beautiful part of the world.

Castle and winery tour - The tour guide Vanja was lovely and friendly, provided some history and had great chat. Amazing views from the castle and the lunch and wine tasting was amazing!! Very incredible food and lovely views for lunch. Only negative was that I felt the tour was a bit overpriced.

Day in croatian countryside - This tour could have been so much more if they removed the second stop. We felt sorry for Harry having to show us this part. He looked embarrassed by the host’ s antics. The visit to the Trakoscan castle and the wine tasting experience were exceptional.

Nice day trip outside Zagreb - Interesting trip to see a bit of the area outside of Zagreb. The first was a beautiful castle that our tour leader led us through. He was experienced, had a good sense of humor, and was very informative. I didn’t care much for the second “castle”, which was really just a run down palace an older lady was trying to restore single handily. It seemed a bit off a desperate project and I felt sad for her. The winery has excellent food and decent wine, though we liked Croatian wine at other wineries better.
