Outstanding Tour of the Castles of Transylvania - This was an excellent 4-day tour by private vehicle of the castles of Transylvania. We saw and walked through about a dozen medieval castles and fortified churches, and saw an extensive amount of the Transylvanian countryside as well as notable cities. Our guide was excellent and highly knowledgeable on the subject matter of this tour. If you are fascinated by castles and the lore of Dracula, this is the tour for you!

Beyond anything we imagined!!! - I honestly do not know if my words can truly describe how incredible this trip was and the exceptional, first-class service our guide, Traian, provided. We saw so many amazing castles, citadels, and fortified churches and did so much in four days that it is difficult to pick any one favorite. Peles Castle is truly the most beautiful; Bran (Dracula’s) Castle, the most eerie and intriguing; and Corvin Castle comes straight out of a fairytale. As for the citadels, I have to say that I favor Cetatea Rupea and for the churches, The Black Church, Biserica and Biertan held their own fascinating unique history of how they provided protection to their villagers. For the nights, we stay in the beautiful towns of Brasov, Sighisoara (birthplace of Vlad Dracula), and Sibiu. We enjoyed delightful outings walking the streets, seeing all the shops, the people, and enjoying the local foods. It was our wedding anniversary during our stay in Sibiu, and with the help of our guide, Traian, he secretly (unknown to my wife) arranged dinner at a wonderful restaurant for my wife and me. There was even a surprise anniversary cake with candles. Oh, and the hotels that we stayed at each night were amazingly distinctive to the town and culture. And, finally, on the last day, we traveled through the Carpathian Mountains along the famous Transfagarasan Road witnessing the beautifully breathtaking, winding, scenic route on our way back to Bucharest. We even had quite a few photo shoot opportunities of brown bears along the roadside. While I am sure that I have missed much, I just have to say that you must experience this marvelous adventure for yourselves. You will be astonished.

Great experience - The tour was fantastic, wonderful region to discover. Stefan, the tour guide was so professional, informative & fun to have for company. He did everything to make us have the best experience possible from food to local guides.. We even had a bonus stop at a very interesting place. It was almost a private tour. Hotels were very decent & well located. We had a comfi BMW for transportation. I highly recommend this tour (from a traveler who visited over 50 different countries).

A fascinating and informative introduction to Transylvania. - The tour was very well organised. We never felt rushed because we had plenty of time to visit the different places we stopped off at. Our guide, Catalin, made it clear we could extend or shortern the visits as we wished. He was very knowledgeable across a range of subjects from geology to history and was always ready to answer our questions. The hotels we stayed at were very comfortable and perfect for a rest after a day's touring. We would definitely recommend this tour and Rolandia to anyone asking for our advice.

So glad I did this! - I thought about trying to see Transylvania on my own but I’m so glad I did this tour instead! The itinerary is very well thought out , the guide was great, the hotels were perfect. The company is very responsive and helpful. I also booked a custom 1 day tour after this tour ended to see more things and that was great too. If I ever come to Romania again I will book with Rolandia!

Best possible tour of Romania - Absolutely great time with Rolandia in Romania’s Transilvania last month. From start to finish, Adelina, Rolandia’s agent, made our trip seamless and enjoyable. Our guide, George, went out of his way to help our traveling companions locate their lost luggage and he showed us many unforgettable sights. I have no hesitation in recommending Rolandia to anyone who wants to see Romania in depth.
