Great 1/2 day trip with passionate guide! - We drove in a lovely van to the marsala salt area. Our passionate guide taught us so much about the ancient and current art of salt production in the area. The boat trip was fun and very educational. We could see the interesting archaeological ruins in the area from the boat. Then we tasted and learned about wine production in the area with pairings with local chocolate. We loved it!

Wonderful tour with lots to see and learn! - This adventure far exceeded my expectations. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the salt flats. We learned so much that really changed the way we think about salt. The tasting at the end was an eye opener and was really enjoyable. We made some great new friends and had a great time.

Great sights, colours, and knowledgeable hosts. - Both the tour, and provider (Alessio) were excellent -- we had a wonderful time and learned a lot about the area, the islands, and salt production both historical, and contemporary.
The views were lovely -- quite a contrast to the rest of Sicily, being so flat. We saw of the salt harvest, and some of the pans full of salt, as well as heard about the whole process. It is a beautiful place with many colours!
Alessio was great, and very passionate. We had a smooth transfer to the pans from Trapani, and Alessio shared his knowledge en route. He also helped us avoid some of the tourist traps whilst shopping. And gave a great tasting of some chocolate, and some local wines too!
Would recommend -- particularly if you're coming during the harvest months (we came just at the end, 20th September)
