Incredible experience of touring with Atlas Vertical Travel! - Had a great trip, run by Abdul our guide and Hassan our cook. We stayed in a nice/clean hostel on the first night (which we had to ourselves) in Imlil before embarking on the first day of trekking to the refuge camp, which took about 6 hours. The team put on all meals, which were tasty and big portions. Don't expect luxury in the refuge camp, as it consists of big/cramped dorms, but there's nothing you can really do about that (unless you camp) and it's only for a short nights stay as you're up at 3AM the next morning. The hike to the summit on day 3 of the trek is tiring but really rewarding. I didn't need any crampons etc as it was May and about 99% of snow was gone. It is cold though even at this time of year, so definitely wrap up and remember your head torch (which I didn't) for the morning trek! The views were incredible throughout. It took about 3-4 hours to summit, and then about 2.5 hours on way back down to refuge camp. You feel a bit of shortness in your breath towards top, but it's manageable and shouldn't put you off. The remaining trek back to Imlil from the refuge camp took about 4-5 hours. Day 3 is a tough day of about 12 -13 hours of trekking.in total, but is very doable! Finally, you spend a night at the original hostel before heading back to Marrakech on Day 4. All in all, the team from Atlas Vertical Travel who run the actual hike were amazing! I'd highly recommend this tour and Skyhook for facilitating. Will definitely use Skyhook again for future adventures and Atlas Vertical if and when I return to Morocco. Huge shout out to Abdul and Hassan for being knowledgeable and accomodating throughout. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Brilliant experience - What a fabulous experience. Everything ran so smoothly. Pick up in Marrakech and then off to Imlil. Fab supportive guides and their team of chefs and porters sorting our luggage. The trek up mount tboukal was tough but the guides made sure everyone was ok and looked after. Couldn’t have faulted anything. Thank you :)

Wonderful - I would do this again and again. Beautiful country and attentive hosts. - We were met by our guide at the pre-arranged cafe in Marrakech and driven to the mountain village of Imlil where Atlas Vertical provide comfortable lodgings for nights 1 and 3. The food was tasty and plentiful and that first night's dinner a great chance to meet everyone else on the trek. We were able to hire a couple of bits of kit that had been left at home (walking poles / waterproof c£3 each). A long first day of trekking took the group of 14 from around 1,800m to 3,200m altitude, with an amazing lunch prepared and served along the way, arriving at Refuge de Toubkal in time for an early dinner. Night 2 was in the refuge in one of the many dorm rooms which were comfy enough, with everyone sharing the common objective of an early start for the summit. Following a 3am breakfast it was time to start the climb, experiencing sunrise along the way. The guides were great and took real care to support everyone as they needed, checking regularly for any signs of altitude sickness. Following a successful but challenging 3-hour trek to the summit, we had the obligatory group photo and then the scramble back down for lunch at the Refuge before continuing downhill back to Imlil. A long but very rewarding day which ended with another delicious meal before being dropped back to Marrakech the following morning. The trip was extremely good value but do make a reasonable allowance for tipping (in local currency), as there is a lot of local support involved from the chefs to the porters to the mountain guides.

Great Hike - It was an amazing experience, the food was sufficient without any extra purchases, the lunch on the way down very delicious. My Guide Hassan made the whole hike even more enjoyable, cared for my wellbeing, provided even between the meals snacks and encouraged me all the way up to the summit. Thank you for that wonderful experience.

Excellent arrangements and ideal guide! - I booked the trip with not many expectations. I was pleasantly surprised with the arrangements and the ease and comfort for such a trek all along the way. I had a wonderful guide in Mohmed. His skill is amazing and professional and one of the best guides I have ever met. My safety was top priority and overall the trip was very enjoyable from the timely pick up and drop off in Marrakech to the actual climb and all the stops in between. Would highly recommend Atlas Vertical... you won't be sorry!

Best of Morocco organised by the professionals - It was the first time we had a hiking experience with a guide (apparently you must have one to go to Toubkal National Park). The guide, Abdel, was amazing. Really knowledgeable about the hiking and Morocco as a country in general - where to go, what to do, where is the real moroccan experience and where are classic touristy traps. Food and luggage were managed by Mohamed, who prepared really filling and nutritious meals. With luggage, we had taken one small suitcase for two people for mules to carry, however, considering the dust and on and off loading, we realised a smaller and less fancy bag would have been better. Also, make sure to take passports - these are needed for checkpoints. Accommodation - very basic, with mixed-sex bunk beds next to each other. With loads of people in one room, it was noisy and smelly, which made us struggle to wake up early for our 2nd day of hike. Nevertheless, the lodge is good for what it is, considering it's remoteness to civilisation. A small shop in this lodge sells water, sweets, snacks, toilet paper.

Amazing trip - I booked the trip with Hussein via emial, everything was well explained and correct. As I´m solo traveller I did the tour with an other gruop of 13 in total, which was perfect. The organization from the first till the last moment was really good, and our guides, Omar, Abdul and Hisham were really taking care of everthing. They also take good care of the mules, not to charge them with too much weight, which was a really big plus for me. We had a cook coming with the group, Ahnmed, and making for us all the meals, I only can say that everything was really delicious, he definitely is the best cook in Imlil! I am so grateful for haveing the opporttunity to know so good hearted and hard working people. Scenery in the mountains is beautiful, the hike is a bit challanging, but with a generally good phisical condition everyone can do it. Vertical Atlas Travel is 10/10, I really can recommend them.
