Steinsdalsfossen - The Steinsdalsfossen waterfall near Norheimsund is truly breathtaking. Visitors can walk behind it without getting wet. Formed in 1699 when the river changed its course, it stands about 50 meters tall. A path allows you to walk between the rock face and the water, making it one of Norway’s most visited waterfalls. Tourist information and public restrooms are conveniently located at the parking area. A short walk over an old stone arch bridge leads to the waterfall. There’s also a cozy café behind the bridge where you can enjoy the sound of the stream. The next stop is just a 15-minute drive away.

Oystese - Arriving in Øystese around 12:15 pm, we will have our lunch break at Spildegarden Sider Farm (included). The lounge is very inviting, complete with a fireplace. The farm offers a spectacular view of the Hardangerfjord. The farmer sells apple cider and other products. We will stay here for approximately an hour.

Hardanger Fjord - After a 40-minute drive along the Hardangerfjord, we reach the ferry in Kvandal. The ferry departs at 2 p.m., and the crossing takes just 20 minutes. There are restrooms and a small kiosk on board. The upper deck is perfect for taking beautiful photos, making it a delightful experience.

Kvanndal ferjekai - After a 40-minute drive along the Hardangerfjord, we reach the ferry in Kvandal. The ferry departs at 2 p.m., and the crossing takes just 20 minutes. Utne Hotel - The ferry arrives in Utne, a charming village on the Hardangerfjord. With its well-preserved streets and traditional wooden houses, Utne offers a glimpse into a bygone era. Enjoy the stunning fjord views, admire the 300-year-old Utne Hotel, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this hidden gem.

Hardangerfjord - The drive from Utne to Jondal along road 550 is a scenic journey along the Hardangerfjord. The distance is about 36 km, taking around 35 minutes. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the region’s characteristic orchards. This trip is highly recommended for those wishing to explore Norway’s stunning nature. Photo stops will be made as weather and time allow.

Jondal - The ferry from Jondal to Tørvikbygd departs promptly at 17:20. We cross the main arm of the Hardangerfjord here. The ferry offers restrooms and a self-service café. The crossing takes 20 minutes.

Tørvikbygd - At 17:40, the ferry arrives in Tørvikbygd. From here, we head directly to Bergen.

Bergen - The drive back to Bergen takes about an hour and a half, with arrival at your hotel around 19:15. Most restaurants in Bergen close their kitchens at 9 pm, so there’s ample time to find a suitable dinner spot. Drop-off can be at your hotel or any preferred location in the city center.

Our ferry departs from Jondal at 16:50, with the crossing taking approximately 20 minutes. The return trip to your hotel then takes only 1.5 hours.
