A wonderful day in Slovenia! - We had a great time on this shore excursion. It was very easy to find the guides after getting off the ship. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate. I wish we had more time at Lake Bled but there was traffic and that delayed us quite a bit. Ljubljana was also lovely and I am very happy to have done this tour and would recommend it to anyone who’s considering it. Just a warning, you will want to come back and stay a few days or even weeks in Slovenia in the future, because 1 day does not do it justice!

Lake Bled is beautiful! - Lake Bled is so beautiful. Our tour guide was great. Lot’s of information to share. Beautiful countryside to see on the ride. Ljubljana was had a lovely city center along the river.

A Great Option for Touring Ljubljana and Lake Bled - We started our tour at Trieste. Our tour guide, Dean, was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. First, we visited Lake bled and then Ljubljana. He explained the historical and cultural aspects of the tour very well. The folks running the tour are very accommodative and easy to reach and communicate with. I recommend this tour if you like to enjoy the best of Ljubljana while not having enough time.

Great Day Trip from Trieste - This was a great day trip from the Triste Cruise port. The tour operator (Koper Tours) was great with communication and easy to find when we got off the ship. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this. The only down side was that we didn't realize we would not have time to rent a boat and make it out to the island in Bled Lake. We only had about 45 minutes at the lake, enough to take pictures and get a piece of cream cake, but the boat ride was not possible within that time frame.

Lots of travel, little gain - A lot of coach travel to have such a short time at lake, guide told us we didn't have time to visit Castle. At Ljubljana the guide took us around the closed areas, everywhere closed on a Sunday, not a good day to visit!! Failed to show us the nicest part near the canal. Not good value for money.

Beautiful locations to visit - This was a good tour but not quite as advertised. We left Trieste slightly late at 09:15 and got to Lake Bled at 11am. We were told we had an hour at Lake Bled whereas the tour advertises 2hrs there. We left at midday for Llubjana and got there at approx 12:50. Our guide gave us a short tour and told us at 13:15 we had to meet at 2:45 do we had 1hr and 30 mins to explore on our own. We arrived back in Trieste at 4pm. Llubjana is beautiful and so is Lake Bled and wee worth a visit. This tour just did not allow enough time to allow us to appreciate our location fully. For me, the trip was spoilt by the tour guides driving. He drove at speeds of 130kmh on the motorway in terrential rain that meant he could barely see the car in front of him with the spray being generated. He drove much too close to the car in front and that car needed to apply brakes harshly there was no way he could have stopped in time. Indeed he narrowly avoided the car in front when they slowed down and narrowly avoided a motorcyclist. I had queries about our pick up time and location before the tour as it was not confirmed on the information from Viator. I rang Kotor Tours on the number provided several times, I text them and WhatsApp’d them and got no response. I had to speak to Viator customer service directly who managed to get back to me late at night on the night before the trip which makes me think this is a tour run by a couple of guys with a mini bus and not a professional outfit. The locations are worth visiting . I’m not sure if we just got them on a bad day when they were in a rush or whether this is the normal experience and service they provide.

Title: Poorly Managed and Stressful Lake Bled & Ljubljana Tour Experience - My experience with the Lake Bled and Ljubljana Shore Excursion from Trieste was extremely disappointing and filled with logistical nightmares. While Viator customer service was initially responsive to my concerns by attempting to facilitate a refund, KoperTours outright rejected this request, suggesting instead that we should have booked a smaller trip. This response was particularly frustrating as many of us, not just those at the Hilton DoubleTree, did not receive the hotel pickup service we paid for, despite their claims that pickup issues were hotel-specific. Viator confirmed that hotel pick up should have happened. The tour was overcrowded, with 45 passengers crammed into a bus, drastically reducing our time at Lake Bled to a mere 45 minutes. The tour was advertised to be a maximum of 15 guests, but KoperTours decided to ignore that, Viator confirmed it should have been 15 or less. The disorganization continued throughout the day, and when our original guide, Taday, had to leave, the situation worsened under our new guide, Marco, and the driver. They displayed a concerning lack of flexibility and care, particularly at the end of the tour. Our group, not bound by ship boarding times, suggested that we drop off the Norwegian Viva passengers first at Koper Port due to their impending all-aboard time of 6:30 PM. However, Marco and the driver refused to adjust the route, leaving those passengers anxious and unsure if they would make it back to their ship on time. Our bus arrived back in Trieste at 6 PM, adding to the stress and concern for the others. It didn’t help that a 8am pickup time was pushed to 845am. This tour was not only a letdown but also mismanaged to the point of causing real anxiety and inconvenience. The disregard shown by KoperTours for ensuring the timely return of passengers to their cruise ship was alarming and unacceptable. I strongly advise against booking this excursion if you are looking for a reliable and enjoyable tour experience. Lastly, KoperTours listed my reservation as “canceled” which at first made it impossible to submit a review. However, I worked with Viator to open it up so a review could be left. Bottom line AVOID all KoperTours.

Viator keeps our money for a falsely advertised tour and loses our business and recommendation forever by not correcting - The tour was to be a Max of 15 people and instead it was a tour bus of 60-70. I would have booked a private tour had I known. We didn’t discover there would be more people until after we departed and were told we were going elsewhere to pickup others. We ended up returning 2 hours later than told. I do not blame the guide - he did a decent job but Viator support handled this so poorly we will never use their service again. This was a total Bait and Switch
