Here, you can appreciate the historic methods of mountain traversal and unearth how a humble stream engraved an expansive ravine into the land, a feature acknowledged even during pre-Roman epochs.

Amidst the claustrophobic confines of the hard-stone tunnels, enveloped in pitch-blackness, we will discuss an engineering marvel of the 1900s, a prominent icon of central Italy that was disassembled in the 70s. Amidst friendly banter and casual conversation, we’ll take a closer look at the geology around us and then ascend to higher vantage points to gaze upon Valnerina from an aerial perspective. If fortune favours us, we may even experience a spectacular sunset.
