Troia was formerly known as the ancient Aece, a city from the Roman era situated on the Appian-Trajan Way. This sightseeing tour promises to introduce you to the historic downtown area that affords a breathtaking view of the Dauni mountains and its magnificent cathedral.
In the trip, you will be guided through the town’s core, taking in sights including the church of St. Vincent the Martyr and the Basilica of St. Basil and St. Francis, renowned for Baroque art. The tour culminates in a visit to the cathedral, named after the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Assumption.
