As some of the most experienced guides, we analyse weather predictions prior to every tour, and have close contact with a network of guides for the highest chances to see the Northern Lights. Our comfortable vehicle is fully equipped with everything we may need in the Arctic, allowing us to discover remote scenery, reaching more calm and peaceful places. We pick you up at a central location in Tromsø, allowing us more time for finding, and seeing the Aurora earlier! With no two nights the same, our enthusiasm and dedication never fades.
Upon reaching suitable skies, we will set up camp for the evening. Most of the time this is a shorter drive to the surrounding coastal islands of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.

The two guides were very... - The two guides were very friendly. They insured everyone was enjoying themselves. They drove to find clear skies for northern lights viewing. They served good soup and hot drinks. Joaquin and Lucas were great!

Amazing Arctic Adventure! - What an incredible experience we had with Northern Soul Adventures! We booked a private tour as we were travelling with our two young children (6 & 3) and this way it could be tailored to us if the cold got too much. Our guide, Michal, was fantastic from start to finish. We initially booked this tour for Sunday, but as the weather wasn't great, we were encouraged to reschedule to the Monday. These guys truly know what they're doing as this was absolutely the right call. Michal then rang us on the day of our tour and asked if we could start early due to some aurora activity already displaying. Of course, we said yes! We were taken to a fjord approximately 90 minutes out of Tromso, where we watched a great display of the aurora before setting up a campfire with soup, hot chocolate, and marshmallows. Michal went above and beyond to ensure the children were comfortable and warm enough throughout. He even purchased warm suits specifically for them as they don't store children's sizes. He also pulled out a bum board and sledging mat that the children had an absolute ball with, speeding down a snowy hill in the pitch black with headlamps on! He was extremely knowledgeable on the natural phenomenon and became our children's new best friend (I'm not sure who enjoyed it more!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company for your Arctic adventures in Tromso, absolutely amazing!

Soul-full it is. Happy I went with them ☺️ - Soulful adventures is a good name for the vibes the company provides. We started our trip in a rush, full of adrenaline to overrun the clouds and did see some Aurora activity. Later on the team decided on a new location where we set a camp with fire, soup, hot drinks and took many pictures. The two guides were really friendly. They told us about the science of this phenomenon and made us all connect around the fire.
On this day the weather was so-so and the lights were not as green, but that is just nature. I would advise people to not go into this experience with the expectation of seeing incredible full blown green in your face lights. It all depends on the weather and the guys really try to make the best possible decisions on where to take us to get the best possibility of seeing them. ☺️
I would recommend booking the tour with them 100%.

Best of the best with a great team! - I love their ethos of execution. Providing an exceptional experience to their guests while preserving the beautiful environment! It was absolutely wonderful. I’m a person who is normally behind the camera lens but on this trip I wanted to step out of that role and just be present in the moment and just soak it all in marveling at the beauty of nature as it reflected the majesty of God while being supported by a team passionate about what they were delivering while also enjoying the beauty of what they too were experiencing. Very, very educational on multiple fronts.
Shoja (guide), Michael (driver) and Jessica (office) are the best!

Aurora sightings from Tromso in Arctic Finland - We had a great Aurora experience on a frozen lake in arctic Finland. The guide and driver were very passionate Aurora catchers. We had a bone fire and hot drinks while watching Aurora outbursts.

TOMATO SOUP WAS THE BEST! I need the recipe asap plzzzzzz lol - It was an unforgettable adventure. Our guides Joaquin and Lucas , were exceptional—knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated to providing the best experience. They led us to a magical spot where the Aurora displayed its full splendor, leaving us in awe. The tour was well-organized, offering thermal suits, hot beverages, and a cozy campfire, ensuring comfort throughout the night.. This experience was truly the highlight of our trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tromsø.

Bucket list complete! - Dancing northern lights was the last on my bucket list and Northern Soul helped me check it off. Joaquin was our guide and he and the driver worked hard to make sure we saw the lights. We were driven to Finland in search of clear skies. When they found a good spot they set up camp. However it turns out to be private property and the owners came and warned. So everything was packed up and they took us to a frozen lake. Standing there in knee deep snow waiting was rewarded by a brilliant display all over the sky. Ended up lying down on the frozen lake to take it all in. It was a special moment. Adult kids (22, 18) gave hugs and thanked me for planning the experience. It was just magical!! Photos from the evening were emailed to us promptly.
Northern Soul provides coveralls and foot warmers but no boots. We rented boots from Tromso Outdoor and they were perfect. This is a small group tour of 13 people and perfect. My daughter forgot her watchcap on the minibus and when I emailed and asked if I could pick it up, they sent with the next day tour bus so I could pickup. Thank you!

An epic night! - We really had a wonderful time. The guides knew exactly where to take us to see the best lights right off the bat. The whole night was nothing but amazing auroras!

A night to remember! Stunning Auroras and exceptional guides! - Our experience with Northern Soul Adventures was absolutely unforgettable, and it’s all thanks to Anna, our driver, and Bogdan, our incredible guide. This small-group tour felt so intimate and personal, with just the right number of people to make the experience truly special.
Despite cloudy weather, Bogdan’s expertise and determination led us all the way to Finland, where the skies finally cleared up. And what a reward we got—a breathtaking Northern Lights show that we’ll never forget. Bogdan’s patience and knowledge were unmatched. He guided us on how to capture the auroras with both our phones and cameras, ensuring we had incredible memories to take home.
Northern Soul Adventures truly thought of everything to make the night comfortable and enjoyable. They provided thermal suits, heated insoles, hand warmers, and even shoe spikes to ensure we stayed warm and safe. Around a cozy fire pit, we enjoyed hot chocolate, coffee, and later a delicious hot soup that was perfect for the freezing night.
Bogdan made sure everyone felt cared for, taking time to click individual photos of us under the Northern Lights. Every detail was handled with such consideration and professionalism—it was clear they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible.
It was, without a doubt, one of the best nights of our lives. We’re so glad we chose Northern Soul Adventures and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone visiting Tromsø. Thank you, Anna and Bogdan, for an extraordinary night!

This was our second night... - This was our second night of searching for Northern Lights from Tromso, and this company was the better of the two. Our group of 14 people set out in a 16 passenger small bus at 5:30 PM. The search seemed more determined, guided by weather and sky apps. The weather was problematic: lots of rain and clouds all around. They provided crampons in an icy area, they had camp stools that were better than sitting on snow, where we sat and ate delicious soup. Our guide gave us a detailed lecture on the science behind the Northern Lights. We were the only ones viewing at this site, instead of sharing with other buses of various sizes. We were rewarded by the best light show (of a total of three we saw) but that could just be luck. Photography assistance was provided to those who wanted/needed it. Because of our long search distance, we were returned to our hotel about 2 AM.
