- Please note that the following information is important for us to assure the best service.

- When exceptional situations arise (e.g. weather cancellations) it is important to reach you. This is easiest if you provide your best contact number on the road (phone number + correct country code)
- The place where you will be staying at (Hotel, Air BnB or other) in case we need to contact you
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking as well as medical condition if needed
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear appropriate winter clothes and shoes.
- A small amount of walking is involved, you must be able to walk 200m or be prepared to wait in the vehicle.
- Activity is in English
- Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the tour itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities)
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 4 passengers per tours. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- The itinerary is subject to change and the viewing locations will be chosen based on the weather and environmental conditions on the day of the tour

Super tour to the fjords - The tour was super organized. Group size was 8 which we found great. Our guide Max explained a lot about the fjords and Norway. Midday snack was delicious. The photos which are taken and free are really nice.

See more of the area than just Tromso before your aurora tour! - A friend and I booked "Arctic Road Trip from Tromso" with Wandering Owl, as we had a day to fill while waiting to go on an evening aurora tour and wanted to see more of the area than just Tromso. Bart was a great guide and made every effort to take us to some great spots for views, photos, and different landscapes. I was very comfortable with his driving and appreciated the info he shared about the area at each stop. He gave us plenty of time for photos but also kept the tour moving along to maximize our experience. He got us away from the "big bus" tour stops as soon as possible, which we appreciated. This was a great way to see more of the area but also have enough time to relax a little and transition to going on an evening aurora tour. At some stops you could walk further out on hard-pack snow, so if you're not accustomed to or comfortable with slippery surfaces, YakTrax/"spikes" might be helpful. A lovely trip! - Seeing the fjords was one of the things we really wanted to do, & this trip was perfect!
Max was our driver & guide. Affable, knowledgeable & took us to some spectacular locations. Such a joy to see so much natural beauty!

Simply spectacular and beautiful!!! - My wife and I really enjoyed the tour from the beginning till the end. The driver and guide was there on time and he was so friendly and knowledgeable about each one of the places we visited. The views of the landscapes, islands, and coastal beaches were outstanding. The guide took us to the best places along the route and the photographs he took were amazing. The picnic we had on the beach was so healthy and delicious and the hot drinks kept us warm. The guide was spectacular. I highly recommend this tour when you come to Tromso.

Amazing day in the nature with the passionate Max - A huge thank you to Max and Wandering Owl for organizing such a wonderful tour!
The itinerary was absolutely breathtaking. We were treated to stunning views, made even more magical by the ever-changing colors and shades in the sky. The landscapes, with their blend of water and mountains, felt even more special under the unique light.
Max shared fascinating insights about the region and Norwegian culture, along with bonus tips about the northern lights, which truly enriched the experience. His kindness and thoughtfulness made sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease throughout the activity. Plus, he captured some beautiful photos for us to cherish as memories of this unforgettable adventure.
We enjoyed a lovely picnic on the beach, complete with delicious homemade sandwiches and hot drinks that kept us warm.
Everything was perfect, and I couldn’t recommend this tour more highly! It's the best way to experience and truly appreciate the beauty of Norwegian nature. A heartfelt thank you to Max for his passion. It’s amazing to be guided by someone whose heart and soul are deeply connected to the mountains and fjords.

Winter wonderland - Max was an excellent guide. He is a biologist and shared interesting facts about the island. He was witty and funny making the four hour trip highly entertaining. We had some white out conditions and max kept searching for locations with breaks in the weather. Was perfect to learn and explore the island.

Great trip, excellent guide, food needs improvement - Just finished the Winter Arctic Landscapes tour. Start of the trip was poor weather, so didn't see much, but last hour or so was very good visibility so on the way back our guide Anna very kindly revisited some of the places we'd stopped at earlier.
Excellent trip, Anna was brilliant. Only slight negative was a disappointing lunch - one small sandwich and a choice of coffee or grootbos tea, which felt pretty mean given the price of the tour.

Fantastic tour with no regrets. - This is the best fantastic tour we have ever had. Though it is for small.group but luckily on that day we had a comfortable group of 4 for the tour. We had touch on almost all things and scenery before it became dark as sun sets early during winter. We caught a cab from our hotel Moxy and made our way to the meeting point outside scandic hotel. The whole trip was very fantastic we also had a short meal picnic prepared by the company Wandering Owl. And it was really awesome. Oh by the way our tour guide did manage to capture all the beautiful photos with us in it. Fantastic.All in, there is no tour I can imagine having where the guide will show us those beautiful Fjords and places in Tromso and at the same time prepare for us a light meal.refreshment and also take some beautiful photos for us.we were lucky though it was snowing in that day so we could see how the weather was changing behind those fjords.Highly recommended. No regrets.

Arctic Road trip with Evgeni - We were in Tromso for a week trying to see the Auroras. Unfortunately, the weather got pretty nasty for about 3 days during this week. We had this tour scheduled and many other tours had canceled us due to weather conditions. Thankfully they didn't. Even though it was rainy and windy all day, our guide Evgeni was able to improvise a scenic route that was very enjoyable. He was very easy to talk to and had lots of interesting stories about the places we visited in the Kvaloya area and Tromso. He took nice pictures of all of us and was timely sending them to us. If we are ever back in Tromso, we'll definitely book another tour with Wandering Owl.
