Experience the stunning natural beauty of towering mountains and deep fjords. Should you be fortunate enough to catch some fish, you’ll learn how to prepare it and savor the delicious result. If fishing isn’t successful, don’t worry. There will still be food available. The Chef always has something special prepared. Meals will be cooked in a traditional Norwegian style, either outdoors, in a grill cabin, or in a private Norwegian home, depending on our fishing location.
After learning about the local history and enjoying some relaxation, we will transport you back to the pick-up point in Tromsø.
We provide warm outerwear (if needed), fishing gear, and a backpack with a light drink and snacks. Guests should bring clothing suitable for the day’s weather, along with warm shoes, mittens, and a hat.
If you are traveling alone, you can still book the trip. However, if the total number of bookings is less than two within 12 hours before departure, we regret to inform you that the tour will be canceled. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

A memorable fishing day! - Karin is simply the BEST guide! We had this activity almost a year ago yet we still cannot get over the beauty of that fishing spot, the great arrangements and preparations Karin did and the PERFECT barbecue dinner we had in a cave! It felt amazing to eat what you just caught and we didn't mind eating the fish cakes our guide made for us as well. We were pampered with very comfortable beach chairs, juice & coffee. I totally recommend you to try this trip with lovely Karin.

comparative tasting experience between self caught pollock and cod - I had a great time fishing pollock and cod. It didn't take long to land the first fish. Then the guide put the catch on the BBQ. The fish couldn't get any fresher: straight from fjord to the grill. And the seagulls were feasting on the spoils while we were comparing the tastes of cod and pollock. I took the rental car out so I could explore the surrounding area after the fishing trip. The guide knows the area like the back of her hand so she knows where to point you at. I brought my own fishing gear. There really wasn't any need to.

Great adventure - Skadi Adventures, the adventure was great. We saw some reindeers on our way. It was also a new and exciting experience for us, since we caught a lot of fish n bbq’d it. Karin made us some homemade dried salmons and also homemade fish cake which tasted amazing. Thanks a lot Karin.

An incredible dream-like fishing day - Great guide who's on time, patient and cooperative, excellent fishing spot with lovely view, easy-to-use fishing rods especially for us as beginners, an amazing cave-like barbecuing place and perfect preparations for dinner.

Amazing trip - It was an amazing trip, the view was extremely beautiful! The tourist guide was really really nice! We got several big fish and also saw some reindeers, everyhting was just perfect!

Once in a lifetime experience. - Once in a lifetime experience. 24 hrs after arriving in Tromso, we were standing on a frozen lake carving holes in the ice and trying a variety of movements to entice the fish (many of which could have passed off as dance moves). Karin from Skadi adventures is a fantastic Nordic expert and enthusiast, providing a great mix of guidance, encouragement and local knowledge. We all caught at least one fish and our catch was cooked on a bbq in a cosy hut. What a great first day!
The following evening, on a dark, slightly cloudy night standing on the edge of a fjord, it seemed like the Northern Lights wouldn't dance for us. How wrong we were! Karin helped us see the nearly invisible wonders of the aurora borealis with her camera when it were just a faint glow in the distance. Soon after, it swirled, dazzled and glowed before us and we left feeling giddy. Right place, right time, amazing tour guide!
Karin also took wonderful photos of the trip so we could focus on the experience!
