Highlights
  • Tromso - We specialize in guided tours.
We drive wherever the Northern Lights are to be located and we strive to find places where the northern lights are strong and clear, and with the help of both long experience and technology, the chances of finding the northern lights at their brightest, are increased.

Our goal is to find the northern lights, therefor we travel all over Tromsø and also sometimes Finland chasing it. If the northern lights dosnt appear rigth away we we will make stops at certain landmarks to take photos, experience the wonderful nature, and sometimes we are lucky and can stop nearby reindeers.

When the conditions dictate it and we have found the best place to enjoy the northern lights, we have a longer stop where we make a fire and serve some hot/cold drinks and some snacks.

Additional Information

Valuable Info:
We’re always on the move in pursuit of the Northern Lights (NL), and our longest trips could even take us all the way to Finland, a journey of roughly 210 km each way. Despite this, our primary goal is to find the NL closer to home.

If the weather is on our side, we’ll build a bonfire during the excursion and provide some hot/cold beverages and light refreshments.

Essential Info:
Our tours aren’t suitable for children under 12 years old. However, we conduct other tours that are more apt for younger kids (Discover more below)

We advise all participants to dress warmly and have suitable shoes. We also supply warm clothing and footgear to those who need them.

It’s recommended for everyone to eat well before the trip as setting off on such a journey with an empty stomach isn’t the best idea.

On the trip: We don’t have restroom facilities on the buses but we make stops when feasible.

We also conduct a 3-hour visit to the Sami people where you can feed the reindeers. This opportunity will be available from December 1, 2024.

We look forward to seeing you.

Amazing guide - Our guide Louis was very nice. In general a northern light tour can be a bit boring, you just have to wait and be lucky. However, if you want to do a tour (which admittedly is good way to see the northern lights), highly recommend this man. He is very kind and dedicated to help, he knows his way around the northern light hunting experience and does everything he can, so you can see it. We almost didn't see anything because of unlucky weather, but because of Louis (who stopped on the way back because he is amazing) we still got to see it!

Amazing experience!! - We had a wonderful time, thank you Ken! We loved that it was a smaller group of people and it was very well organized! Ken exactly knew where to take us and the place we went to was very remote and there were no other tourists! We saw the most impressive northern lights! It was very cold but Ken did his best to keep everyone warm around the fire and with hot beverages.

You won't be sorry for booking this tour, and you might be with another tour group - Our guide, Louie, is the best of the best at finding the right spots to watch for the Northern Lights. The other guides try to find his spots, and then show up like they know what they are doing. The other great thing about this tour is we were driven around in smaller passenger van instead of a big bus like the other companies. So there was a more personal feel to it. Even has the mood of the group soured, he kept encouraging everyone "to be patient, the lights are coming." Even as we all sat around cold and anxious. Then the lights appeared making the wait worth it. Other groups gave up early and missed out. If you're booking a trip in Tromso to see the Northern Lights, take this tour and ask for Louie. You won't be sorry.

Nice moment - Good organization, small snack (hot drink and homemade cake). We were lucky enough to have seen a (small) aurora despite the overcast weather, we would obviously have liked to see more! Small or big plus, our guide dropped each participant off at their home in Tromsø.

An unfortunate night - The trip was canceled due to road closures. It was unfortunate because it was a clear night with some aurora activity. But there are so many factors that play when you attempt to see aurora borealis.
