Must Go. - The weather was perfect, and so was the tour. The tour was with a smaller group, and the tour guide was a Sami himself, and explained all about their culture and the Fjords in a very calm and clear manner. He was wonderful singer too. The lunch buffet was great, with a good variety of every pallet. We stopped at quite a few places, with enough time to take some pictures. Feeding and mingling with Reindeers, along with the friendly Reindeer Dog was bonus. The mix of Fjords and Reindeer experience coupled with Sami culture information made the whole tour much cherished memory of my trip to Tromso.

Wonderful reindeer and Sami experience - Caring and genuine hosts, two childhood friends. Good pick up and communication, nice small group (16?). It was worth taking the chance on a smaller tour company for a slightly higher price to avoid the mass tourist crowds and speak to real Sami about their lives. Scenic stops were beautiful. Adorable reindeer with googly eyes and fuzzy snouts!!! They are shy for pats or selfies but keen to eat out of your hand. One did let me stroke its ears but most won't. Fascinating to hear about Sami family life, mixing traditional and modern. Great to hear the children are raised so independently from a young age! I would have loved to stay all day with the reindeer :):):) Thank you for a lovely experience!

Highlight of our visit to Tromso! - Best part of our visit to Tromso! Full day with stops to see the beautiful fjords, feeding reindeer, learning about the Sami people, and having a wonderful lunch in Sommarøy. Ole was an excellent guide and shared very interesting information about Sami culture and customs. We learned quite a lot! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Tromso!

Make this trip your priority - If you go on no other tour from Tromso then make this your number one priority. ! The day was unforgettable. Our friendly guide Ole started the day with a stunning drive along the fjords with various stops for photo opportunities and to take in the views. En route he gave an informative commentary about the Sami people and culture. We were taken to the reindeer herding areas where the animals are given daily supplements of food which you get to help with. The reindeer were very determined but the guides explained how to safely feed them. The sheer number of reindeer, no fences and the scenery accompanied with the guides in traditional costume was overwhelming. It was magical. We had hot drinks , a talk about Sami life and song in a tent around the fire. After this we were driven to Sommeroy island where lunch was provided in a beautiful hotel. The choice was good and the food was delicious. There was chance to go on the white sand beach and the sea was pale turquoise. We then returned to Tromso. The group had the most fantastic day. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to Wondering reindeer .

Reindeers and Fjords - The traditional Sami experience with the reindeer feeding was by far the highlight of the tour. It was well balanced in terms of a reindeer experience without over doing the Sami history etc. Sommarøy was so beautiful and the lunch did not disappoint. Without a doubt this is one tour I would highly recommend.
