Very nice experience - Very good times spent with Karin, his enthusiasm is communicative! Our hunt for the Northern Lights was a success in every way. Well installed in the 8 seater minibus we stopped once to admire the Northern Lights, then Karin took us to a small cabin to warm up and eat, we even grilled sausages! We can only recommend this outing. Gilbert and Chantal

Great guide for a great evening - Beautiful evening, punctual, we left Tromso and stopped in a first spot to see the Northern Lights, we were lucky and we saw it for a long time, and that danced too. We went from the little house about 60 minutes drive from Tromso, where the guide lit a fire and where we could eat euch Zhe, sandwiches, and there were also hot drinks... You could leave the house to see the Northern Lights, or stay inside for those who were cold. Outstanding Guide (Oscar)

Wonderful Northern Lights Safari with Great Guide - After the start in Tromso we had a few stops to look for Northern Lights - which we also found and then headed towards Karin's Basecamp. Before that she had assured herself that there was clear skies. After about 1.5h drive we arrived and had a great view of the Northern Lights and were able to warm up in the cabin, snack and drink something warm. Then we had enough time to watch the Northern Lights, with great tips for taking photos.

When the dawns dance... - Incredible experience!!! Karin brought us to spots where the aurora come to dance before your eyes!!! In addition to a warm place for a meal in the embers, the kindness of our host and his patience to machine gun our trombines under this festive sky, made this evening an unforgettable moment!!!! Takk Karin🥰👍

Amazing northern lights your.. - It was amazing. Karen was a very nice guide and host and the tour was kind di personalized in the sense that whenever we used to see aurora, she would herself stop the minivan so that we all could enjoy. Lovely cabin also :)

Absolutely amazing! A must when in Tromso - Amazing! What a truly magical evening. We got to see the northern lights dance. We had our 11 month old baby with us and we weren’t sure what trip to take that/ if any would be suitable for us. We spoke to Karin, who reassured us as there was space in the minivan we would be able to bring him without any issues. She was so accommodating with our little boy. Karin was so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. On our way out of the city towards the cabin we saw the lights and stopped en route to see them. Beautiful! After time to see their beauty and take some photos we carried on and stopped once more further along to see the lights. Once at the cabin, the fire was already going which kept us all warm. Karin had some amazing food to cook on the fire together as a group and even bought her own wine for us to try (delicious!). We spent some time at the cabin seeing the amazing lights and gorgeous surroundings. There was sleds and mats to have more fun with whilst we were there too. I cannot recommend this trip enough, it was truly amazing to see the lights and Karin is such an amazing host. We will remember this trip forever!

Wonderful experience very... - Wonderful experience very Well organized. Small and confortable minibus for maximum 8 people (we were 4). It is one of the few tour that starts at 8pm and this is a plus because it permits to have more time during the day to make other experiences. Another big plus is the availability of a typical norwegian cabin where we have stopped in the middle of the tour. It is a heated cabin where the guide has offered us hot dogs, snacks and hot drinks. You can go in&out the cabin, trying to see the northern lights without freezing. And finally the guide, Oscar, super kind and available for all our request. He has done professional photos during the night of northern lights and then the day after he has send them by mail to each of us! Very reccomended tour!

Northern Lights Experience - Fantastic night and experience with Karen, we were fortunate to have clear skies and a strong display of the Aurora. Karen was a great guide and host entertaining us in her cabin with a warm fire, food and even sledging if you fancied a go! I would certainly recommend this tour to others and thank Karen for the experience.

Not as much fun as we expected - Karin was very friendly and optimistic and, being local, very knowledgeable about the area. We even started the trip an hour early to try and catch the lights since clouds were starting to roll in. It was cool going out onto the farther islands away from the city and the silence and just lack of noise out there is something special. We didn't go out on a good night (weak aurora activity and lots of clouds which isn't Karin's fault at all) but she did stop by the side of the road and we did technically see the lights, but it was just a faint line nearly invisible to the naked eye but all the groups got pictures. The lights only lasted maybe 10 minutes but we still spent something like an hour just standing on the roadside looking at nothing when it was getting cloudier and obviously nothing was going to happen again. Karin was taking pictures, but they really weren't worth standing around for. We weren't at a beauty spot, so the pictures are either just empty sky or the van on the side of the road. We eventually ended up going to a cabin for food but it wasn't Karin's. At the beginning of the trip she mentioned that her cabin was at a place with full cloud coverage so she found another one. We appreciated that, but it meant the cabin we used was just in some random persons backyard. Karin mentioned her cabin was bigger and the one we were in probably wasn't made to comfortably fit nine people so it was a tight squeeze and, since this seemed last minute, we didn't have plates to eat on. This cabin, unlike hers, also didn't have a bathroom. Men were told to urinate behind the cabin in the pitch black on a snowy incline. There was a portable toilet for women but it was frozen and inside a storage shed full of stuff and not much more comfortable than just dropping your pants in a bush. My boyfriend and I appreciate that Karin tried but it just felt like we didn't get nearly as good an experience as other reviewers did and, honestly, we didn't really have much fun or felt that we got our moneys worth. It felt like a pretty slapped together experience. I think if you get lucky with the lights OR you have a great cabin experience this tour is worth it but we didn't really have either. Even if you don't see the lights other tours might bring you someplace pretty or make you feel like you're having an adventure. All we really got was standing on the side of road and my boyfriend nearly falling over trying to pee in the snow.
