High expectations were over exceed with this tour! - Claudia made our experience a breathtaking and incredible one. Although we had booked on the mini bus tour with a small group of 15, because of a cancellation of another party we had a small, bespoke experience that was both memorable and informative. Claudia was engaging and accommodating to all of our needs and request (including doing a mini photo session to capture the memories that will last a lifetime). We were perhaps underprepared for the Arctic weather so the ability to use the suits and boots turned what could have been a rather chilly evening into a comfortable experience. Of course the star of the show was the Aurora and we were lucky to have a spellbinding display but even without that we can appreciate the efforts the team went to throughout the evening. And the campfire under the night sky and roasting marshmallows was a lovely addition to the itinerary. Big thanks to Morton for getting us there and back safely! All in all, a tour I can honestly and highly recommend.

Great experience - Amazing experience. Louis and the team were super enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. Great vibe/atmosphere. There were options for dinner which was yummy. The hot chocolate and toasted marshmellows were really nice touches too.

the special highlight in the Arctic - Everything was just right here! And I have visited different providers. On holiday it should be just like this. My respect for the Orga, handling, professional accompaniment and good feeling

Unforgettable Northern Lights Adventure with Louis and Alhad - A Must-Do Experience! - I recently had an unforgettable experience on a Northern Lights mini bus chase tour with Louis and Alhad (apologies if I am not sure about the spelling of the name) on 28th September 2024. From start to finish, it was truly an amazing adventure. Louis and Alhad were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about providing us with the best possible experience. The entire setup was well thought out—delicious hot meals (you will get the feeling of doing an arctic tour with this packaged meal), a cozy campfire, and warm suits to protect us from the cold. Louis and Alhad did everything they could to chase the northern lights, and while they reminded us that seeing the lights is never guaranteed, we were lucky enough to catch a beautiful display. Even without that, the tour itself was totally worth it. The landscapes, the warmth of the campfire, and the stories shared by the guides made it such a memorable evening. I can't recommend this tour enough. It's not just about seeing the lights, but also about the journey, the effort Louis and Alhad put in, and the genuine care they have for every guest. If you're considering it, just go—you won't regret it, whether the lights make an appearance or not! I know I will do this again in future with the same guides! 😃 Regards, Deepanshu

Northern Lights Tour with Arctic Explorers - We went on the northern light tour for two nights with Arctic Explorers. Our guides were Angel, Julian, Pepe and Claudia. All the guides were amazing and we managed to see the beautiful Aurora lights for all two nights! Our guides were very dedicated in chasing for clear skies, if one spot is not working out, we would head to the next. Thermal wear and dinner by the campfire were provided. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to see the northern lights, thank you for providing this gorgeous memory for us to remember!

The Only Tromso Northern Lights Tour to Book - These folks are the best. Unlike some of their competitors they actually care about their clients' happiness. Unlike te dishonest competitor (hello Wandering Owl) there are not 20 pages of forms to fill out, no hubris about the weather or safety, and no nonsense about the food being served. Honesty and care go a very long way. Artic Explorers are simply the best in Tromso.

Exceeded our expectations - The light show was very good . The team did an excellent job overall - starting with getting warm clothing and boots ; then taking us to a very good spot where we were able to see the excellent light show ; supplied us with hot drinks and the preselected food . I have to admit the food exceeded my expectations . They stopped on the way back , when the light show was better . Claudia took lot of photos which become available on their website for us to download . They dropped us back at our residence, which was very nice , considering it was very late and cold . Overall we had a great time 😊

Not a great experience - I would have awarded this 2.5 stars if it had been available. The young team of guides were lovely but the organisation was haphazard. We were surprised it wasn’t cancelled due to the weather conditions as per some other tours offered by Viator. We were told it was going to be exceptionally challenging to see anything. Our group of 16 were taken to Arctic Explorer’s warehouse where they insisted we put on their suits and boots despite having gone very suitably dressed with good footwear. Apart from being uncomfortably dressed in the minibus it later proved difficult to walk in these on uneven snowy terrain in the dark - felt like an accident waiting to happen. We were then driven nearly 3 hours to the border of Finland and Sweden to no avail. We stopped for hot chocolate and photos of people on the tour. We were then persuaded to walk across a rickety bridge so we could say we’d been to Sweden (unnecessary). We were then driven back towards Tromso where we stopped at one of their regular places to have a campfire and some expedition food in a pouch. Most people were past it by then as it was after midnight and didn’t eat. When we arrived we were told we wouldn’t see any lights here at this stage. The terrain was steep to the campfire and yoga mats provided to sit on the ground which was difficult. It felt like an unnecessary charade because that’s part of what they provided. We eventually arrived back at the ship at 03.50 after two of the guides were dropped off first on the other side of the island. Even more galling because a tour provided by another operator took them to Sommeroy an hour’s drive from Tromso where they saw a good display of the Aurora with the naked eye.
