- Grotfjord - After another 20 minutes of driving, we’ll arrive at Grotfjord. If the sky is clear, we’ll find a secluded spot between the towering mountains to set up camp and enjoy the Northern Lights for as long as possible.
- Tromvik - If it’s cloudy in Grotfjord, we’ll continue driving to Tromvik, the westernmost point on Kvaløya. The winds here often create breaks in the clouds, offering a chance to see through.
-
Tromso - After a night of enjoying the Northern Lights, we’ll begin our 45-minute drive back to the city.
This itinerary is just one of the options available. I will choose the best route based on solar activity and cloud cover.

Join me for an intimate and personal tour. As a local, I’ll take you to the best spots to witness the Northern Lights, whether it’s between the mountains, down by the ocean on a beach, or in some of Europe’s oldest forests. It will be just us and the Lights.
We are a small team of guides who have grown up and spent most of our lives in the wilderness around Tromso. We offer genuine stories, histories, and cultural insights of the area. While other companies may have great guides, many of them come from different parts of the world.
Our tours are limited to groups of 8 people, ensuring good group dynamics. We’ll be spending 8 hours together, so it’s important to enjoy the experience. There’s no need to be loud or extroverted, but feel free to ask questions! Other experiences are free lessons for those who listen.
During the tour, we guides will share our way of living and demonstrate it throughout the day. This includes firemaking, hunting, farming, skiing, and winter survival, all based on our personal experiences.
- Not recommended for people with heavy mobility problems. (With the privat tour, this will not be a problem)
