Wonderful insight into Sami life - From the moment we arrived, we were made so welcome by the Sami people, they were so friendly. The sledding and feeding was very enjoyable, the reindeer are such beautiful creatures. Afterwards we were treated to hot chocolate and cookies, before being served reindeer and vegetable stews. Both were so tasty. After the meal concluded we were entertained with songs and stories of Sami life, it was such a warming experience. One of our party was celebrating a birthday and so many people, Sami and visitors, wished her a happy birthday. Sue was surprised by a very thoughtful and unexpected gift by our host. Such a lovely afternoon, very much recommended.

Very enjoyable day - Unfortunately the sledding part of the trip was cancelled due to the weather but that couldn’t be helped and it was still a great day. We enjoyed feeding the reindeer and learning more about the Sami culture in a really cosy lavu.

Nice arctic experience. - Despite the snow storm, we had a great experience. Everyone is very welcoming, there is plenty of time to feed the reindeers and we learned a lot about the Sami culture. Lunch was great in a cozy tent.

Great day for racing animals and experience with Sami culture - The organization of the trip was very good. We also liked the combination with the experience of the racing animals as well as the information about the Sami culture. In particular, I liked that it was authentic. It is very 'turistic' but authentic and organized to preserve the herd. Personally, I would prefer a slightly smaller 'travel group', but I have to confess that in the end you didn't notice much of the group.

Great place but they cancel sledging regularly - Amazing farm with lots of reindeer , friendly staff . Saying that it is too close to the city, this leads to sledging getting cancelled regularly . My friends did another tour and they were able to do sledging over 2 days but our guys cancelled

Fascinating Sami culture but disappointing reindeer experience - This trip was by far the least interesting part of our visit to Tromso. Firstly, I didn't expect to be in such a large group. There were 4 massive coaches all full! On arrival to the camp, the setting was quite disappointing, obviously purposely set up just for tourtist, nothing authentic, apart from the costumes from the Sami people on site. Our group was first to go Reindeer sledging. This was extremely disappointing as all the sledges were tied together with reindeer in front of each, and one person walking ahead. So it didn't feel like sledding but like being paraded around very slowly. Maybe if they were to change the trip to include you taking the reindeer for a walk, like herding, it would be more interesting. The reindeer feeding was not enjoyable for us as the animals felt a bit aggressive even though they're harmless. A bit more on hand support from the guides would have been helpful. As the camp was fairly close to the sea, the wind blew strong, so their extensive provision of hot drinks in the cabins with the ope fire was very welcome. The reindeer stew was nice. The best part was by far the session where we learnt about Sami culture and the singing at the end. It was all very interesting amd heart warming. If you have an option only for the last bit, then definitely book that part only.
