Magical Best Tromso Experience - What a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was magical and we are all so pleased we did it. The weather was as expected cold and crisp the reindeer sledge ride was the highlight for me personally. Feeding the reindeer was also a joy, being able to get up close and personal with such lovely animals. The stew was delicious and all the Sami staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend doing this experience, it’s started our Christmas holidays off beautifully, thank you!

Great Experience, Well-Organized, Lots of Reindeer and Fun - We had a great time at Tromso Arctic Reindeer. We did the long-sledding, feeding and sami culture and it was all amazing. Everything was very organized- from the time we checked in to getting back to Tromso. We loved the sledding and getting photos with our reindeer. The feeding was the best part- being able to walk around to all the reindeer was amazing. We really enjoyed lunch (reindeer stew) as well as the hot chocolate and cookies. The Sami culture was very educational and our guide made it fun. This was one of the best things we did in Tromso! Would highly recommend it!

Great reindeer experience - An excellent visit to this Sami camp and their 200 reindeers. Feeding the reindeers was great. Minus 11C temperature so hot chocolate and cookies in the lavvo was welcome. A splendid sledding experience was followed by a presentation from a Sami resident. Reindeer stew also very tasty. Great experience.

Amazing experience - nightly recommended. - Pick up from outside the Raddison Blu hotel, and a 50 minute coach trip through amazing countryside and you’ve arrived. A friendly greeting, and taken into a hut for a briefing. We were part of a large group so split in half we got to feed the reindeer first. There are so many of time, some pretty big. They were gentle, as long as you listened to the briefing and kept two hands on the bucket. I actually hand fed them, which was wonderful. After this we then went sledding. It is a circular route. We were sat at the back so got the full view of everyone in front which was great. There I Is a blanket in your sled, which seats two people. Then inside for a hot drink and stew. Either vegetarian or reindeer. We had the reindeer and it was a bit like lamb, very tasty and a decent size portion. With bread for dipping. Then John, our lead Sami gave us a really interesting talk about Sami culture, his life and also showed us some clothing garments and tried to teach the group a few Sami words. There is a small gift shop, however this is just Norwegian stuff, nothing Sami specific. It was a magical experience, nightly recommended.

Fantastic Experience - My wife and I had a fantastic day here as part of our Tromso visit.. Upon arrival we were greeted by members of the Sami tribe who explained how the event would work. The centre has a herd of almost 200 reindeers and initially we are given buckets of feed and allowed go wander amongst the animals and feed them. We then went a superb sledging event gliding across the snow was awesome. We then a very interesting short chat with our female guide who explained how the heritage of the Sami tribe is being maintained, over a delicious bowl of reindeer stew.

Fantastic Experience - Loved the reindeer, both the sleigh ride and the feeding. The group was split in two with armbands of yellow and orange. The yellow went feeding the deer first while orange did the sleigh ride. We felt the deer were full when it came to our turn. That’s the only moan, other than that everything was magical. The reindeer stew lunch was delicious and plentiful. Lots of hot chocolate and cookies. Loved the traditional tents (lavvu) and the open fires.
