Great company to do the aroura night tour, Marilee and Tor were fantastic! - This tour company takes a very good approach: at the beginning you will be in the office for 20 mins receiving some important tips and trying warm boots and polar suits. The mini-van is well-equipped and spacious enough, and you get a nice video explaining everything about northern lights to kill some driving time. Tor (driver) is a fantastic guy, always very keen to helping people have a pleasant night, as well as telling as many stories as he can. Great guy! All the above is a set up that other companies that charge more money might not do in the same way, or fall short. I did three aurora tours, two with this company and last tour with another one, and the other company (more expensive) did not have some of these details. I cannot tell for the rest of tour guides though (there are dozens!). Having said all the above, aurora tours in the end are about finding norther lights, and how entertained you are during the night. And for this, the guide plays a fundamental part. Your night will be according to how outgoing and entertaining the guide is. My two nights with this company were a hit and a bit of a miss. Marilee was really nice and the night with her was very entertaining, it went very fast and we got to see some lights that night. The following night it was a bit different, and on that night the guide did not take care of people playing with spotlights hampering those of us trying to take long exposure shots. I am mentioning this because Marilee and the guide of the other company were very careful with ensuring no spotlight would ruin a shoot at any time of the night. But all in all, it was a very good experience with Arctic Adventure Tours, very much recommended. Oh! And the reindeer soup was superb, warm and very tasty. Excellent!

Amazing experience - We had the pleasure to have Rasmus and Jessica as guides for our tour. They gave us really good clothes (boots, gloves, suits) good for really cold weather, especially the boots. As the weather was not good near Tromsø, they took us to Finland and we were finally able to see Northen Lights ! It was a real hunt ! Jessica helped us with the camera, to be able to take really good pictures and Rasmus helped us as well. The campfire and the food was really nice as well ! Thank you guys, it was really nice ! Best regards Chloe and Florent

Amazing Northern Lights Hunt with Marilee and Tor - Night with the auroras was incredible, despite being long ... we only got to see it at midnight after we left Tromso at 6pm! It was snowing a lot and we did a 2 hour drive almost to Finland in the expectation of catching the starry sky and waiting for them to appear. As the weather there changes from one moment to the next, we move from place to place near a mountain where Tor made a fire, preparing a spot with reindeer skins and the meal that was excellent. We stayed more than 2 hours waiting for the weather to change (very, very cold, however before leaving Trosmo, they gave us suits and boots to be as warm as possible). We changed the location again because they had indications from other guides that we could be lucky a few kilometers away, they drove another 1h almost and then we stopped suddenly where it was possible to start seeing the unique show. Without wanting to create expectations, there are no words to describe, what the cameras capture is very different from what you see and are actually magical effects that appear in the sky (I recommend a good camera if you want pictures in conditions, Marilee helped to configure the machine and also took pictures that he later sent by email). It was 8h in all for an unforgettable experience, with all conditions.

Northern Lights Chase Small Group Tour - Fabulous small group trip with Jessica and Tor - thank you! Jessica is also a photographer who was able to help all of us amateurs capture the lights as well as taking some on her own camera which she generously shared! Tor drove us all around set up camp on the shore sitting on warm reindeer skins around an open fire and served us a delicious hot beef and veggie stew or vegan option for those that requested as well as hot chocolates toasted marshmallows and hot dogs for those that were still hungry ... notes for travellers you are out for hours and no public toilet just nature and it does get really cold so multiple merino wool layers recommended as well as lined hat. Arctic suits boots and mittens are provided by the company and you’ll need them. If a toilet is essential for you then go on a big bus tour which has one on board. Best thing about small group tour is flexibility to chase lights and set up quickly to capture on film

Fantastic Team and Tour - From the greeting at the office to saying goodbye at the end of the experience, Arctic Adventure Centre and Tours staff were outstanding. They gave absolutely everything to ensure every one of us had the best experience. Decisions were based on a mix of local knowledge, experience and available technology and we couldn’t have been in better hands. Hot drinks, a hot gorgeous meat stew in individual flasks, cookies, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs around a small bonfire... there was so much more than just the Northern Lights, which luckily came out to play. I had fingers crossed and expectations before the tour and by the end of it was so very happy we had put our faith in this company and the enthusiastic and passionate staff.

Great experience - Very well organized, very good equipment (bus, suits, boots, mittens, tripod for camera ect. ) Very nice and professional support for taking pictures. We had success by seeing the Northern Light, very impressive but hardly visible with the naked eye. Good camera with the possibility to adjust exposure time and value , tripod are required. Nice group and a great experience.
