Fjellheisen or cable car. - The Tromso Cable Car or Fjellheisen is one of the main tourist attractions in Tromso. It has a beautiful view of the city, and at night it is possible to observe the Northern Lights, the cable car viewpoint also has a cafe. I recommend going at night to see the Auroras.

Tromso - On the first occasion we walked to the cable car which was over the bridge from our hotel to find it was shut for the day due to high winds,we got the website to check to see when it was open and thankfully the next day it was. There was a bit of a queue when we arrived but after 30 minutes we was in the cable car going up. Spectacular views on the way up and down and also when you arrive to the top in the viewings areas. Got a drink from the cafe when at the top which was a bit of a wait and trying to find a seat was a nightmare but overall a good experience

Worth it, even with clouds - We went at midday in December so we had some light. Excellent views. Very cloudy when we went. I am sure if the day is clear this is perfect. Buy ticket in advance online to avoid lines.

Dec trip with daughter - This is absolutely amazing. I went with my 12 year old daughter. We bought tickets when we arrived total cost 550 NOK for a return. We arrived around 1pm and left 3.15 When we got to the top we immediately went outside and went on the mountain taking in the view and playing in the snow. After about an hour and a half we went into the cafe. It was busy but we got a table within 15-20 minutes We had 2 hot chocolates, a slice of cake and a packet of crisp for 270 NOK This is a must if your visiting tromso. On a separate note we got bus 28 from Tromso 40 NOK and number 26 back 40 NOK Bargain

Marvellous view - Good service as it was quick and easy, but we made a mistake with the booking as we typed for a family (2 adults and 2 children) plus one adult instead of just 3 adults, but the employee told us she couldn't do anything…. Bar with panoramic view and very kind waitress. Excellent coffee served. We were surprised by the lack of protective fences... help! The place is stratospheric. Beautiful view ….

Good little trip - Our guide was really informative and helpful. We went by taxi to the cable car (only a short journey). The cable car took about 10 mins to the top. The day I went it was very cloudy and started snowing. We were at the top for about 2 hrs and the cloud eventually disappeared for some fantastic views. The cafe was really good drinks and snacks. It's was a really good little trip. Our guide was really chatty and very friendly. The taxi took us back to the puck up point.

I am not writing this to... - I am not writing this to be posted but to communicate with Viator. The rain, no visibility, school field trip with kids trapped inside because of weather!, outrageous prices for beverages. None of this is under your control but didn't help with the level of frustration we were experiencing because when we got to the ticket booth the bar code on our ticket was not accepted. They wanted a QR code. I scoured all my paperwork and never found a QR code. We finally had to buy tickets so the experience wasn't a total waste. It was my fault that I didn't write down the meeting place and having no internet on the day of the tour I had no idea how to get to the Cable Car. We finally took a cab. However I was very impressed and appreciative of the group in charge of the shuttle that we should have been on. They called me and provided great information and follow through. The lady's name is Anne I have been booking tours with Viator and have recommended you to many as we had always had great experiences. This was not one of them!!

Unlucky with the weather - No one's fault but this was part of Cruise Ship tour, thick fog and we couldn't see anything from the top. Could see the Cathedral as we came back down and I'm sure on a clear day it would be stunning. Small cafe at the top and a nicely built viewing platform.

Absolutely pathetic - The service provider did not pick us up at the pick up point and viator will not help get my refund.
