Fantastic Experience - We had an amazing trip with Alan. He was engaging, interesting and knowledgeable about the Northern Lights. He absolutely did his best to find the optimum spot to where we might see lights (never a guarantee with nature!). We were unbelievably lucky to see a beautiful light show. Can highly recommend this tour, just be realistic and remember that the guide can't magic up the Northern Lights if the conditions aren't right!

Andrej did not give up - Unfortunately, it was very cloudy on the day of our trip. But Andrej wrote the bus until we finally got a fairly clear sky. While we waited for the lights, he explained them to us and how to track them with an app. We were enjoying his tee and cake next to a fire when we finally saw large Northern lights. He took tons of pictures of us, and, afterwards, he drove us the hotel (at 2AM). He did great and we highly recommend him.

Fantastic guide! - Alan was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this tour! We had a very low chance of seeing the lights with the combination of low activity and cloudy skies. However, Alan was very dedicated to trying his best and making this a great experience. Just as we were about to call it a night and depart back to Tromso, Alan took one final look to make be sure, and luckily, we were able to see a little bit of the lights and get some pictures! The lights were very faint but still nice and the pictures we got back were nice. It was a very long night, with us not getting back to Tromso until 3:30am, but I enjoyed every second of it. It was nice to sit around the fire and chat with others and enjoy tea and a LARGE piece of cake.

A guide dedicated to regaining the best experience - The sun is not very good, and the solar index is not so active, so despite the very low probability of seeing the Aurora, I would like to say thank you to the guide who did the best experience without giving up until the end. (Minibus can be a little small. Carrying too much luggage can be difficult during the tour.)

Great experience, very enthusiastic guide that cares about your experience - Highly recommend this tour. We had a very bad forecast but then the sky cleared and we saw a very nice Northern Light Show. While this is not guaranteed (it’s nature), Alan got out of his way to make everything possible that he could influence. We had a nice spot in beautiful scenery to ourselves, a nice fire and he gave very interesting information about northern lights and the culture. But you should be prepared: - bring warm clothes (while they have thermal suits, you may need to get out very fast to see the lights so there may not be time to put them on) - eat something before the tour (they have snacks but not Dinner) Over all I would definitiv book this tour again and I am looking forward to the pictures that Alan took. If you search for something with a more personal touch and this is the tour for you

Somewhat poorly organized - There were a few issues with this tour that have led me to leave a 3-star review. At the time of taking the tour, we weren't sure if our experience was typical, but after doing a Northern Lights tour with a different company a few nights later we had a fair comparison against our experience with Enjoy The Arctic. 1. The guide was operating solo – meaning, he was both driving the minibus and "guiding." He would only communicate with the group while the bus was stopped. This led to a general sense of disorganization. 2. We were never offered the "thermal suits" and it was unclear if we were able to wear them, although they appeared to be packed in the overhead compartments of the minibus. 3. The "dinner" consisted of tea or coffee, and an individually wrapped cake for each guest. This was generous in that each person was given a large cake that was probably intended to be shared among 4 people, but it was an odd choice to be served as a meal, and not exactly what we had been expecting or hoping for. 4. The most problematic part of the tour was that there was no defined end time, and it led to us being out until about 4:30am. The description had led us to believe that the tour would be 6-7 hours. So, we were prepared for a late night – but not for 4:30am! The problem here is that the guide put the decision to the group about whether we wanted to continue traveling around to try to spot the aurora, and of course, nobody is going to want to speak up in a group of 15-16 strangers and say "no, I don't want to see the lights, I want to go home." The weather was bad the night we went out, so within the first few hours we had not been able to spot the auroras. So, we kept trying, even as we blew through our expected return time. Eventually, at our last location, we did see the lights - faintly - while enjoying the aforementioned tea and cakes. Around 2am we packed up for the 2+ hour drive home. We were forced to reschedule our dogsledding activity the next day, and basically lost a day recovering from our late night. I believe the guide was well-intended in trying his best to make sure the group had a chance to see the lights (which we did). However, it doesn't feel right that the expectations are not properly set about the potential duration of the trip. As mentioned above, this threw off our vacation. 5. We only had one bathroom stop about 1.5-2 hrs into the journey. We stopped at a gas station and the guide said something to the effect of "this is your last chance to use the bathroom." I understand the guide cannot conjure bathrooms out of the arctic wilderness, but if the tour is continuing another 5+ hours after that stop, it seems to disincentivize people from hydrating properly and set them up for discomfort. 6. (minor) At one point I asked the guide a question about Norwegian culture (certain Christmas decorations we had been noticing). He somewhat curtly stated that he had no idea about the Norwegian holiday customs. I don't expect every guide to be an expert in local culture (and in Trømso there seemed to be many transplants from across Europe) but it was odd that someone operating as a *tour guide* did not seem interested in entertaining our curiosity about the local culture, nor had much of his own.

No photos and terrible customer experience! - As stated in other reviews, we did NOT receive any photos despite the Viator tour description stating that "professional photos taken during the tour are later sent to you via email or social media". We waited patiently for our photos for ~2 weeks, but the tour company NEVER reached out to inform us of any updates or issues, and it took multiple follow-ups from our end just for the company to finally respond...and said there was a technical issue and our photos were lost. Absolutely terrible customer experience. The fact that they never communicated this to us - and that we only found out after persistent emailing - gives the impression that they were trying to cover up their mistake / get away without providing the full services promised. A partial refund was then promised, but it took even *further* follow-ups from us to finally receive any money back...and they only provided a 20% refund (~$36 / person). We did not expect a full refund - given the tour itself and transportation were still delivered - but a measly 20% back was a slap in the face and not adequate compensation for the situation. This was a once in a lifetime experience, and we now have no photos or way to remember it because of this supposed "technical issue". How the company chose to handle the situation was even more disappointing and frustrating. There are many other companies offering these tours in Tromso - do yourself a favor and select a different vendor.
