Above and Beyond—Alen Made KP1 Worth It - We joined three different aurora tours during our stay in Tromsø, and our tour with Alen stood out as one of the best. Forecasts had initially suggested KP 4 activity, but it dropped to KP 1 just an hour before the tour started, which likely explains why the tour was delayed and began at 8PM.
Despite the less favorable conditions, Alen made the effort to drive us deep into Finland to avoid cloud cover, and we were still rewarded with clear views and photos of a KP1 aurora. His dedication really made the difference.
He ensured everyone was comfortable throughout, and even after a long night, dropped us back at the hotel slightly after 4AM. The tea was a thoughtful touch, and the Mesterbakeren blueberry pound cake—though simple—was surprisingly enjoyable.
Overall, a very well-run experience. Alen is a capable and committed guide, and we would definitely recommend this tour.

Amazing Experience - Spectacular experience! Andrei or Allan (I’m not sure, I think it was Allan, but it was Andrei who sent the pictures🥴), our guide, did everything on his part to find the northern lights (as this is a natural occurence and therefore, not guaranteed). His knowledge and research paid off and we were able to see this wonderful natural phenomenon. He was very nice, took photos of all the customers and sent them only a couple of days later. Thank you so much Enjoy the Arctic!

Northern light - Great, our guide was very friendly, kind, and gave us a lesson on the Northern Lights. Even though we weren’t lucky enough to see the northern lights, it was a wonderful experience.

Trip well worth the wait - We visited Tromso during the weekend from the 20 to the 22nd of March. When we arrived, the weather outlook was grim. 85-100% probability of rain/snow during the whole weekend. Cloud cover was also almost complete. We arrived at the tour almost certain that there was no way we would see the northern lights in this weather. Thanks to our guide Allen for his knowledge, persistence, and enthusiasm, we got to see much more of the Northern Lights than we expected. It took a long trip to get out from below the clouds, but it was well worth it. He never gave up until we were able to see what we came a very long way to see. Will highly recommend this tour and our guide, Allen.

Gorgeous and memorable Northern Lights - We were very excited to take this tour. Our tour guide George was very friendly and gave us many facts about the Northern Lights (although not 100% they were all right...).
He chose a spot 40 mins away from Tromso and we didn't move the whole evening. The reason was that George believed this would be the best place to see them. It was pretty cloudy, but shortly we started to see the Northern Lights. Weak at the beginning, we managed to see a purple/nitrogen one, and right before we left, we saw the most amazing lights show ever! Multiple Northern Lights crossing the sky and dancing. It took 6ish hours but 100% worth it, trust the process and George.
Throughout the evening, we had a bonfire with cake, and George also took professional pics that he shared after with us.
Be aware there aren't any toilets, so you'll need to go before the tour.
Thank you, George!

Best Northern Lights Trip - We had George as our guide to chase the northern lights. It was a fun trip, with George telling jokes and sharing insights on northern lights throughout the trip. He also shared with us photography tips and a few photos of us taken during the trip. Trip included hot tea and cake. George also set up fire in the middle of the trip to keep us warm and was kind enough to drop us back to the hotel after the trip. It's truly the best northern lights trip!
George's enthusiasm of the lights was so infectious that my husband and I went chasing for the lights on our own a few days after and we managed to see it! Thanks George!

Amazing experience - Amazing tour and experience! George was an expert and passionate about chasing the northern lights. He took us to clear skies away from the city and we had a wonderful experience viewing the lights. George helped me with the tripod and camera settings which was really appreciated and also took photos of us with his camera. We enjoyed the snacks and drinks provided and the campfire. Thank you George!

Amazing Aurora Tour - It was a truly unforgettable experience. The guides were very friendly, well-organized, and knew exactly where to take us for the best chances of seeing the lights. George also provided us with warm drinks and thermal suits, which made the whole experience much more comfortable.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience something unique and witness one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world.

A long trek to escape bad weather but ultimately succaessful - First thing to mention is to make sure you have plenty of time for this. We were fine with a long hunt but another couple who had a morning flight to catch was getting nervous about the return time.
We had a prompt pickup outside the ice bar in Tromsø. The full 18 person minibus was cozy but adequate. Thermal suits were stored iabove the seats but no one used them. Our guide and driver Alain mentioned we’d be out for 6 hours as we head to Finland to find clear skies. At first we had low expectations with snow blowing sideways in Tromsø. It only got worse on the road. We even passed a couple of wrecks on the road. But Alain was a man on a mission… he was doggedly determined to find clear skies and good viewing.
After about 3.5 hours driving we found a clear patch and got our first glimpse of the lights. Alain took portraits for everyone. After a few minutes Alain estimated we could find more clear skies further along and we pushed on. At the next stop he set a camp fire and passed out snacks. People could sit in the coach to rest or warm up. We had a couple hours to view the lights and watch them evolve. Eventually they calmed down and we headed back. He did manage to spot one more opportunity on the way back. All in arrived back after a total of almost 12 hours! Much longer than expected but it was successful and we were happy. Despite the weather and the wrecks we felt safe with Alain’s driving. We appreciate his determination to keep pushing-on until we accomplished our mission.
Notes: We did a toilet stop at a gas station about 1.5 hours in and again at the same place on the way back. After that it was pretty much wilderness area. Most of the viewing stops were little more than a turn out on the side of the road. You could t stray too far due to deep snow. You spend a lot of time in the dark with your back to the road. HI-viz gear could be useful.
In the end the auroral activity and weather are behind one’s control. But what set this provider apart was the amount of determination to find the best opportunity.
