Trondheim with Alfie - Alfie was a great guide. He contacted us a few days before the tour to find out what we liked to do and met us as the boat disembarked. Note to others - it’s a pretty good hike from the quay to the main part of the city - we hopped in a cab to have more time for touring. We really enjoyed the fortress, both for the stunning fall views and the interesting history that Alfie shared and was enhanced by several QR codes we scanned around the site. We then strolled through a lovely residential area to get to the cathedral - stunning from every side - such amazing stone carvings, and then a stroll to the center past the Royal garden still in flower to a nice local cafe. A very enjoyable afternoon! Thanks Alfie!

Great way to see. Trondheim. - Our guide was a IT professional who gave tours during his lunch hour. He stayed in Trondheim after college and enjoyed living in the area. He gave us a thorough overview of the area and answered all of our questions. We booked a 3 hour tour, but 2 is enough. Expect to walk a great distance.

Wonderful walking tour! - We appreciated Adriana waiting for us to start the tour. We were late because we got lost. She was very understanding and kind. She gave us a lot of history and insight into Norwegian culture. We saw a lot of the beautiful city. The tour was perfectly paced with frequent breaks. She even walked us back to the ship so we did not get lost again. We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour very much.

Womderful walking tour with a local - We had a wonderful tour with Adriana. We loved hearing the impressions from a local who was reasonably new to Trondheim. She was able to tell us what the city and its inhabitants are like and she made some wonderful recommendations for us to followup on our own.

Fantastic city tour with perspective of a local - Our guide was Benjamin, and he was wonderful. We had a lovely walking tour through the scenic streets and up to a beautiful park. We appreciate that he gave his perspective of living there, a long with some history.

See it like a native - Adrianna was fantastic. We really enjoyed our tour. Interesting perspective from someone who is local and not a professional tour guide.

Trondheim is a hidden Jewel! - I thought Trondheim would be a boring industrial port - WRONG! It is an amazing town - full of color, culture, amazing views, a beautiful cathedral, canals, modern buildings, festivals - so, so much. And the food!!! It is definitely a foodie's paradise. So many options - from so many cultures. I walked all over, and still needed to do more to see everything, but my feet were pooped. You can easily walk from the cruise port to the Cathedral - just give yourself time to find treasures along the way. And then wander back on a different route, and see the painted buildings along the canal - awesome views. One interesting thing - really hard to find an ATM on a Sunday - they were inside the bank foyer, and you needed a code (not just an ATM card) to get in. Fortunately, was able to do everything by card. But had to tip in American $$ because of no access to Norwegian kr.

Not a great way to treat your customers! - We were on a cruise and Trondheim was a port of call. Rather than book tours offered through the ship, we decided to book with a local, smaller company for a more personal experience. Unfortunately, the day before we were to arrive in Trondheim the seas were too rough to allow the ship to dock at the port the next day and we had to cancel our booked tour. Previously, while we were on the cruise, the tour company had asked us via email to change the time of the tour. Although that was not convenient to us at all, we tried to be agreeable and had agree to change the time to accommodate them. Despite our prior reasonable attitude, when we notified the tour company and Viator of our inability to participate in the tour, and even though we were almost 24 hours before the tour time, we were refused a refund of any of our payment. Both the local tour operator and Viator stated that since it was within 24 hours of our tour, even though they were "sympathetic" with our dilemma, no satisfaction would be provided. We would never book with the local company, Lokafy again and suggest booking with the cruise ship provided tours as if this happens they offer 100% refund at all times, as they did for other tours that required cancellation. Sometimes things happen that are out of control and compassion and understanding should be provided. (We did ask the operator to offer a 50% refund and even this was denied).
