• Byåsen - Enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from this vantage point, known locally as “Sverresli,” in the Byåsen area.
• Norges Teknisk-Naturvitenskapelige Universitet, NTNU - Trondheim is renowned as a vibrant student city. The main building of NTNU, Norway’s largest university, is a notable landmark.
• Kristiansten Fortress - Take a leisurely walk around the 17th-century fortress, originally constructed to protect the city. Relish the beautiful view of the river Nid and the city center.
• Bakklandet - Bakklandet is Trondheim’s oldest district, distinguished by its colorful wooden houses.
• Nidaros Cathedral - Nidaros Cathedral is Scandinavia’s most stunning and magnificent cathedral and the best-preserved Gothic structure in Northern Europe.
• Old Town Bridge - On the return to the port, pass by the renowned red Old Town Bridge, affectionately known as the “Portal of Happiness.”

Driving through the city we will pass the most important landmarks such as the modern port area and Solsiden (which literally means “the sunny side” in Norwegian), the old colorful wharve houses, the famous Hotel Britannia, the Royal Residence Stiftsgården. From here the tour proceeds into the outskirts of Trondheim, to Granåsen ski jump and sports facility, where the Nordic World Ski Championship will take place in 2025. After this, we will make a photo stop at Sverresli viewpoint with a panoramic view over the city. On the way back to city center, we will pass by St. Olav’s Hospital, the biggest medical center in Norway. Nearby we will pass the building of the Student Association, the main building of NTNU, the biggest university in Norway. From there we will drive to Kristiansten Fortress, built in 1681, in order to defend the city. Our last stop will be Nidaros Cathedral built in the 11th century. Before returning to the port, we will see the Old Town Bridge and the old warehouses.

• Please note that the bus will continue on time after the stops and cannot wait for any tardy participants! Timetable is visible in the windshield of the bus.
• This tour is based on the arrival and departure times of cruise ships. Modified departure times of the tour may change and will be communicated. Please check your emails before the activity starts.
• Please leave a valid phone number (with the country code). In case of an invalid number, no refund can be granted.
• The itinerary of the tour depends on weather and road conditions. In the case of a weather-related road restriction, an alternative tour will be organised.
• Please bring a child safety seat with you if you need one. It is recommended in Norway.
• The tour starts at Pirbadet parking lot. A few meters after leaving security area you need to turn left through an in between corridor, then you will find the parking lot directly in front of the main entrance of the swimming center “Pirbadet” Guests coming from City Center or Hurtigruten/Havila please follow the signs leading to Pirbadet. The bus will be parked there, it will have “Trondheim City Tours” logo in the windshield.
