Highlights

Norðadalsskarð - We will head straight out of Tórshavn driving over the mountain road towards the tunnel to Vágar Island. The old mountain road is known for its beautiful scenery, and, at Norðadalsskarð we will stop for a short break to stretch our legs and enjoy the beautiful view over the fjord, before continuing on to Vágar Island through the Faroe Islands’ first sub-sea tunnel.
Gasadalur - Our first stop on Vágar Island will be a visit to the fairy-tale village Gásadalur, home to the breathtaking waterfall Múlafossur, providing one of the most majestic views in the Faroe Islands. Gásadalurs scenic charm has long been recognised, for example it was used in the Swedish movie The Birdcatcher’s Son, a film based on a local folktale from the early 1800’s, yet it was only in 2006 that a mountain tunnel to Gásadalur made it possible to drive to the village. Before then the locals had to hike the mountain every time they needed to leave the village.
Sandavagur - From Gásadalur we’ll take you on a hike from Sandavágur to the Troll Woman’s Finger

Wonderful experience. - My husband I spent the day on this private tour of Vagar. We had a lovely time. Our guide, Kim, was professional and knowledgeable and brought us to the most classic spots for the best pics. Highly recommend. Thanks.

The best appartment on Vagar island - There are very few places (hotels/ airBnb) on Vagar island. We were lucky to stay at the best appartment ever! The host name is Arnjohn Hvitklett and the address is 18 Traðarvegur, Sørvágur, Vágar 380, Faroe islands, We had a 2 rooms appartment with bathroom and kitchen, fully equipped, nice terrace before the entry and gorgeus view on the ocean and mountains. The interior is modern, comfortable and cute. Nothing was missing. THe host was very kind and helpful. You can find him on the airbnb site: [email protected]

Relaxing day in the Faroe Islands - This trip showed the scope of Vagar Island. It was relaxing and easy paced The lunch restaurant was terrific and a hidden gem. The guide is knowledgeable and can tailor the trip to your needs. Perfect way to spend a day in the Faroe Islands.
