Spend an exciting, full day immersed in the highlights of the island, guided by an experienced Caribbean Horizons tour conductor. We begin by driving through the picturesque west coast towards Gouyave, a fishing town known to be the home of Kirani James, a three-time Olympic medalist, and the processing center for Grenada’s Nutmeg at the Gouyave Nutmeg Station. Here, you’ll understand why Grenada is famously named the Spice Isle. A visit to the Diamond Chocolate Factory allows us to taste some exquisite Jouvay Chocolate. We then enjoy a lunch at Belmont Estates plantation, known for its scrumptious dark chocolate. We proceed to the island’s most northern point in St. Patrick, and visit Carib’s Leap, a key historic site in Sauteurs. Sampling 200-year-old River Antoine Rum distillery-made rums at a local shop adds to the fun. As we pass the eastern coastal Grenville town, we traverse the mountains rising to 1900ft above sea level, leading us through the remote Grand Etang rainforest, the habitat of the Mona monkey.
