Embracing the Autumnal Symphony
As the crisp air of November sweeps through the enchanting town of Tsaghkadzor, the landscape transforms into a canvas of vibrant hues. The clear skies and gentle winds of November 2nd invite you to embark on a journey of discovery, where the whispers of history and the echoes of nature converge. Begin your day with a Tsaghkadzor and Lake Sevan Tour, a private exploration that promises to unveil the hidden gems of this mountainous region. Available from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, this tour offers a serene escape into the heart of Armenia’s natural beauty.
The journey commences with a ride on the Tsaghkadzor Ropeway, an optional yet exhilarating experience that elevates you above the Valley of Flowers. As you ascend, the panoramic views unfold, revealing a tapestry of autumnal colors that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Kecharis Monastery, a 13th-century marvel, stands as a testament to the region’s rich history, inviting moments of quiet reflection amidst its ancient walls. As the day progresses, the tour leads you to the shores of Lake Sevan, the blue pearl of Armenia, where the Sevanavank Monastery offers breathtaking vistas of the lake’s azure expanse.
“Restful day of tame adventure and culture - Nice drive out of Yerevan into the countryside, passing by obsidian quarries. At the Tsakhgadzor Ropeway we enjoyed lovely views for a little under 15 minutes. On the plateau, you can go horse riding, or quad biking/ATV - although we just opted for a quick hike as didn’t want to spend too long on this bit. After returning back down, it was a short drive to the Kecharis monastery. After a time of quiet reflection, we moved to lake Sevan - where we climbed up the 200 odd stairs to the Sevanavank monastery with beautiful views over the lake! After coming back down, we sat down to a nice meal of salads followed by a main. Before the hour drive back to Yerevan.” - Reviewed on 2024-09-06
A Dance with the Elements
November 3rd dawns with a promise of exploration under a sky that gradually shifts from clear to overcast. The morning is perfect for another adventure, this time with a Group Tour with Trout Barbecue, available from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. As the clouds gather, the landscape takes on a moody, introspective quality, inviting you to delve deeper into the soul of Tsaghkadzor.
The tour begins with a glide on the cable car, offering a bird’s-eye view of the Valley of Flowers. The Kecharis Monastery, with its ancient stones and timeless aura, beckons you to explore its sacred grounds. As the day unfolds, the journey continues to Lake Sevan, where the Sevanavank Monastery stands sentinel over the waters. Here, the wind whispers tales of the past, and the lake’s surface mirrors the shifting skies above.
“The trip to Lake Sevan, Sevanavank Monastery, Tsakhkadzor Resort and Kecharis Monastery was excellent - The trip with tour guide Anna and driver Norik left an indelible impression. Anna captivatingly narrated interesting facts from the rich history of Armenia and modern life of the country. Driver Norick comfortably delivered our group to the scheduled travel points. Fast roads with rapidly changing mountain landscapes, the endless expanse of Lake Sevan, the rugged Sevanavank Monastery above the blue lake, the forested slopes of Tsakhkadzor under the soaring chair of the cable car and the ancient Kecharis Monastery will remain in our hearts. And lunch at the restaurant Kambuz on the banks of Sevan pleased with its national cuisine (Horovac, sig, Sevan trout, local vegetables and fruits)” - Reviewed on 2024-09-30
