11.30: You will stop at Frog Pond (trail from Park gate to Frog Pond is 6 km). This is the largest freshwater lake in the middle of the National Forest. From the bottom of the pond, reaching up to thousands of trees and water - the species is only found in the Frog Ponds not found anywhere else on the island. There are many types of fish and crab in the pond.
12.00 - 13.00: Continue the journey from Frog Pond to Viet Hai village (3.5 km). This is a small village of local residents with about 100 families.
13.00: Have lunch and take a rest at Viet Hai village, take a fun experience by fish massage your feet.
14.00: Free to explore the lives of people in the village, cycling 5km to Viet Hai harbor.
15.00: Boat will take you through Lan Ha Bay, you have a chance to admire the scenery of beautiful Lan Ha Bay, Cai Beo fishing village. Our boat will stop at a floating house to take kayak then rows to a wild beach for swimming.
16.45: Back to Cai Beo pier, car take you to Cat Ba town.

The best - One of the best tours that i did in Vietnam: trekking, bike, kayak, boat... the place is really beautiful. The guide was super. Really, do it.

Day trip catba - Today a very nice day with a visit to a cave, hike of 10km, After hiking nice food and a fishing foot bath. Then on the bike and a canoe trip to an island. And by boat back to the hotel Make sure you have enough water with you.

Discovering the paradise of Cát Bà: Adventure and total relaxation! - "Cát Bà Incredible!"
Cat Bà left me completely fascinated! Incredible landscapes with crystal clear waters, stunning limestone mountains and unspoilt beaches. I tried kayaking in Lan Ha Bay and hiking in the national park, a perfect combination of adventure and tranquility. The guide was super friendly, knowledgeable and full of energy! Without a doubt, a must-see destination if you love nature and are looking to escape the city.

Beautiful, very varied tour! Highly recommended. - We had a very nice and varied day! Hung is a great guide, you can feel his connection to nature. We made a beautiful but also challenging hike through the jungle of Cat Ba and were able to admire the landscape and a lot of butterflies. For the way through the jungle, which goes over stones, trees, sometimes up then down again, you should be sure of your step, have fitness and good shoes.
After the hike we had delicious lunch, rode our bikes to the Quai and then by boat through the beautiful karst stone landscape to Monkey Island. Just fantastic! There you can swim, kayak or hike up the rock for an even better view.
Conclusion: We had a wonderful, very eventful day! Highly recommended.

Challenging but extremely rewarding and special experience - Amazing tour with the best of both worlds if you don't want to spend all day on a boat cruise and would like to spend some time hiking through the beautiful, relatively well-protected Cat Ba National Park, yet still get a boat ride. Our guide, Hung, made the experience so special by sharing his knowledge of and passion about the Cat Ba environment. The tour is in two parts. The first half is a challenging hike up and down three mountains all the way to Viet Hai village where you break for lunch. The terrain can be difficult at times so it is important to wear decent hiking shoes or at least sneakers with good grip. My mother is in her 60s and was able to manage the hike reasonably well but is also pretty fit, so bear in mind, your fitness level is relevant. Having said this, Hung was wonderful about stopping to wait and cater to the fitness levels of the group. After lunch, to travel to the boat, you take a really nice, leisurely bike ride from the village to the wharf where a local will pick you up in their modest, but quirky and fun small boat. You cruise through Lan Ha Bay and choose between stopping to kayak or going to Monkey Island to climb up and see the view. We opted for Monkey Island. Overall, this was such a special experience with this smaller company. Would thoroughly recommend this tour if you want to do something a bit more challenging and different! Walking tour of Cat Ba National Park with bay - A great experience! The pickup was well organized, and our guide was super friendly and barefoot – just likable! The small group made the tour very personal. The hike was challenging in the heat, but feasible (slipping not recommended) and worthwhile. We were particularly impressed by the boat trip through the bay on an old wooden fishing boat – authentic and beautiful. Clear recommendation!

Beautiful trekking/boat/kayak tour 😍 - We were picked up at our hotel on time at 08:00 and taken to the entrance of the national park. There everyone got 2 bottles of water, which were also urgently needed in the heat.
Our guide Hung then led us through the beautiful jungle with great explanations. He himself walked barefoot - really crazy on this path! He kept collecting garbage all the way along.
After the strenuous tour we got a classic Vietnamese meal with meat, as well as vegetarian variants. This one was also very delicious!
Afterwards we cycled through the enchanting nature of Viet Hai, directly to the harbour. Here we were picked up by a cute boat and taken to the start (in the middle of the water) for the kayak tour.
With the kayaks we then paddled to a secluded bay where we could swim or just relax. After paddling back, the boat took us back to the other mainland, where a car was already ready for transport back.
All in all it was really a wonderful day which was super organized! Not least because of the great company of Hung, who read us enough time everywhere. So we were tired and happy only at half past six again at our hotel!

Beautiful landscape, boat trip and bike tour - The tour was great! You need a good condition for the hiking trip as it is a lot of climbing, especially in the sun, but I've seen a snake and the nature is wonderful! Our guide was really nice, the food was great too. But the best thing was the short bike tour through beautiful landscape and the boat trip!

jungle hike - Nice hike through the jungle/Nationalpark of cat ba.
I would recommend the people who already did the day cruise to do the half day hike. the hike end after 3-4h in viet hai, the fish massage place and continues with the bike ride, kayaking and monkey island which i already did with the day cruise.
