- Danube Delta - Enjoy a day trip to the Danube Delta and be amazed by the numerous species of plants and animals as well as by the ingenious way the locals live their lives.
Your Danube Delta trip starts with one of the most amazing areas of the Delta, Garla Sontea. We will take a boat ride through Channel 36, Garla Sireasa, Garla Sontea and make our first stop in Mila 23 village. Here, we will visit the Lotca Museum opened by Ivan Patzaichin, the most famous sportsman from this region. Then we proceed to Letea through Radacinos, Trei Iezere, and Bogdaproste Lakes and enter the Old Danube through the Madgearu Canal where we’ll arrive in Letea Village. We will take a jeep and visit the Letea Forest, the northernmost subtropical forest in Europe, filled with wild horses and oak trees that grew on the salty sands.
We will visit Letea Village, talk to the locals and, optionally, we can eat a traditional fish lunch at a local household. After lunch, we’ll head back to Bucharest.
