Incredible tour - we are going to do it again!! - I've done tours before with many other companies. A few years ago I even did a tour of Cenotes in Playa Del Carmen. This tour was a million times better. I mean it was just incredible.
First, you get picked up in a super clean beautiful car. Cold water is already in the car if you want it. Air con is on. We get introduced, we talk a bit and drive to our first destination, which is an open air Cenote (once you are in, check out the super cool dark cave on the far-left side too!!). We arrive there and our tour guide knows everyone, we get the entire thing privately to ourselves! There is literally no one else there. We jump in a few times, we swim around, and our tour guide took awesome pictures and videos of us on our phones. He also provided snorkel gear and life jackets to wear to flow in the water if you want.
We have as much time as we want. Then we get in the car, and head off to the next Cenote. A cave one!! and this is something I have never experienced before! Just incredible. A cave system. We were given life jackets, snorkel gear, flashlights, and we go into the cave and explore!! Just an amazing time.
We get back in the car, and have some cold beers, and go off for some food! We are told a few options of what kind of food we can go get, and we chose the tacos. We arrive to the restaurant and again, everyone knows our guide! We sit, and are served super quick some of the most incredible tacos! We order another round, and beers!
Just an awesome awesome time - we are going to bring our whole family out here in a few months, and we will 100% do this again! It was an incredible experience, and so much better than the busy tours with packed Cenotes! Book it, you won't regret it!

Kindest and Most Knowledgeable Guide — Adventure in Cancun - Ruben is the kindest person!! As a guide he was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable about the Cenotes, Playa, and Mexico in general. He’s also very respectful of the Mayan culture which allows him to show you the best of it. He offered us snacks, drinks, cold towels, anything you can think of he had it ready. You can tell he genuinely loves his job and connecting with people.
Once we met him we spent the rest of our trip with him 😅! The first day he took us to the underground and open Cenotes which were beautiful places to experience and we went to a local taco place for dinner which was the best meal of our trip. This was my favorite day in Cancun. The Cenotes were stunning and the tour was fun. Swimming in the cave was easier than I expected and it was nice to be somewhere cool while it was warm outside. Also a really cool picture spot if you want them.
The second day we went to another restaurant he recommended and he took the time to personally escort us there and show us around Playa. On the third day he took us back out to Playa and back to our hotel. Having him as our guide was such a pleasure and me and my family really loved him! I can’t recommend him enough for a good time and for great company!
Ruben— you always have friends in California should you ever come to visit. Thank you!!

AWESOME - This trip that we booked was amazing. We had Ruben as our tour guide and he was the best. He always made were doing good and if it was too much for us we could stop. It was such a great experience but with Ruben it was even better. After our trip, he took us to this taco place and it sure was yummy. Overall, he made this experience so much better.

Sac Actun is mind blowing. An outstanding excursion with Local Travel Mexico - This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. Rubén is a master of his craft and curated such a wonderful day for my wife and I’s 1 year anniversary. He was gracious, relatable, communicative, and shared a wealth a knowledge on a wide variety of subjects. His attitude put my mind at ease and we were able to fully immerse ourselves in the awe of Sac Actun.
Sac Actun is hard to put into words. An incredible place filled with beautiful limestone stalagmite formations. You basically just wade through the water soaking it in, sometimes in really tight areas. It’s cold water, there’s bats, and It’s not for the faint of heart. it can be a bit claustrophobic at times…But for the adventurous and daring who aren’t scuba certified. This is one of the coolest most sacred locations to check out in the area.
There’s not many tours available for this place and for good reason. that is to your benefit as you basically have the place to yourself. Photos and videos don’t do it justice, and I’m a bonehead for forgetting our underwater cases. You need them! My only mild criticism of this portion of the excursion was that we only had 2 flashlights between the 3 of us. I think having enough flashlights for everyone plus the guide would have been better, but since we passed it back and forth I was fine overall. We had hot face towels waiting for us in the air conditioned van, it’s that type of service.
After you are done at sac Actun, we went to an cenote nearby that had no other visitors. It even had a zip line so we could ride that over the cenote, or jump off platforms into the water below. This place was also great and a great place to combine with Sac Actun.
For lunch Ruben took us to an amazing taco spot. It was one of the best meals I had on this trip. I’ll end this review by saying Ruben is fantastic at what he does, and I have zero negative feedback on my experience with this company. Sac Actun needs to be seen, and to do it safely and learn while doing so, book this excursion.

Amazing adventure - Ruben customized our excursion for 2 little children which made it possible for all us to enjoy our time. He provided car seats and lots of fun snacks. He was very knowledgeable of the cenotes and would defintly book a tour with him again.
