Chichen Itza - The driver Martin and the tour guides Roberto and Gonzalo were great. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and informative. The tour was as described on the website. Booking was easy. We actually had to reschedule due time illness and it was done without issue. Highly recommended!

I would definitely recommend these guys for your next tour! - My daughter and I had a great and memorable experience on our tour to Chichen Itzá, the Mayan Village and a swim in the Cenote. Gonzalo, Roberto and Carlos provided us with a well planned out itinerary. I can also appreciate a great sense of humor, professionalism and a passion for sharing the history, culture, beliefs and the way of life of the Mayan people. We felt comfortable knowing that we were being provided with a quality experience. Thank you guys for such a memorable experience! Much appreciated.

Best tour ever!! - When I first saw the advertisement for seeing/ touring the Cichen Itza and swimming in the cenote, I was expecting to see one of the seven wonders of the world, listen to some history, swim a bit and come back, but what i got was much more than that. This experience changed my perspective on the Mayan way of life and showed me the many amazing and different traditions that the Mayans still continue to do til this day. Gonzalo, the tour guide, is hilarious and makes it so fun to tour even though it was so hot out, and Roberto was an amazing host to the whole group. Roberto and Gonzalo are very well-spoken and passionate about their work, which conveyed the importance of Mayan culture and the preservation of it. Visiting the Mayans was my absolute favorite part of the trip because it gave me first hand experience on how incredible Mayan culture and traditions are which led to us buying so much and eating the amazing food that they provided. Carlos, the bus driver is extremely kind and offers drinks whenever it’s needed/wanted!! (He gave me orange juice twice). Swimming in the Cenote was also an incredible experience, from the view, to the amazing people who all came to experience the same thing together. I came to Mexico with my mom to create more memories and this tour was the perfect way to achieve that. Thank you so much to everyone who put this trip together, I had a fantastic time!! I highly recommend going, and make sure to bring sunscreen:)

Lots of fun! - Guides were very helpful and informative, Roberto and Gonzalo. We really enjoyed the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. Also, lunch at the Mayan village was fantastic. One suggestion would be for more time at the Cenote.

Pleasant - I really liked it, but I feel like I could improve the experience a lot if it was less activities and they will concentrate more time on the places, very little time in Valladolid. We did the tour with Roberto and Red

Overall great, but be prepared for a long day - Overall was a great day and would recommend, however be prepared for a long and hot day. Have tried to include a lot of detail below as these are things I would have wanted to know prior to going. Getting the bus out of Playa del Carmen could have been a lot more efficient. For a company that does this presumably every day I would have expected a more well oiled machine. We ended up leaving about 25 minutes after schedule which just adds on to a longer day. On the bus you’ll need to pay $44USD per person for items not included in the tour price (note: the night prior they sent a message reminding us about this, but referred to the cost as “state taxes” which confused us. It’s for entry to chichen itza, the cenote and life jacket). On the drive to stop 1 and 2 the tour guide talked NON STOP. Personally this was a negative for my partner and I. It was a lot of rambling and stories that had no relevance to the day. Would recommend bringing headphones. Stop 1: Cenote This was amazing and our favourite stop of the day! You’ll need to bring around 50 - 100 pesos to rent a locker to put your stuff in as you’re not allowed to bring bags down. As we got there not long after opening it was not busy at all. Would have liked longer here (1hr total) and for the online itinerary to list this as the first stop. If we’d known this we would have worn our bathers from the start and not wasted time changing. Stop 2: Mayan Village This stop is not explained on the tour page when booking. The drive from the Cenote to here included a slow drive through a Mayan neighbourhood where the tour guide spoke about the locals, their houses and living conditions. It felt like we were on a tour of a zoo with locals peering out from behind their gates at us as a giant bus of tourists ogled at them. We then arrived at a village where we were placed in a gift store and told we had 30 mins to find a souvenir. To be fair, we were not pressured by any staff to buy anything, however it just felt like a waste of time and we would’ve preferred to have been at the Cenote. Cancelling out this part and driving faster would have saved about an hour. We then had lunch at this stop which was great. Highly recommend the tacos and getting the traditional drink, La Chaya Maya. There was also a performance of traditional dancers during lunch. Drinks are not included; we spent 180 pesos on 2 drinks. Tips were requested but not enforced or aggressive. Stop 3: Chichen Itza This was fantastic to view, and as we were there off peak it was pretty quiet. We were able to view the pyramid mostly unobstructed and get some great pictures. Victor was a very informative tour guide. As there is not a lot to shade would highly recommend hiring an umbrella and bringing a hat, piling on the sunscreen etc. This part was extremely hot. After the tour you have 1 hour free time to look at the markets. Souvenirs start at 1USD / 20 pesos and are far cheaper overall than in Playa del Carmen. Water is expensive here, around 70 pesos. Honestly the 1 hour free time could have been reduced by 15 - 30 mins as this stop is so hot that you spend half the time sitting in the shade refreshing, which could have been done on the bus on the move. Stop 4: Valladolid This was an unexpected surprise, and a stop we wish we had more time at! You’re dropped in a beautiful Mexican town square bordered by a stunning church, with food vendors within the square and live performances. Highly recommend getting the churros! Best 50 pesos we spent all day. Wish we had longer here. The drop off in Playa del Carmen seemed to take longer than expected, with us arriving back at the hotel at 9pm. Overall the day was great but be prepared for a long day, bring plenty of water and around 500 - 1000 pesos for drinks, food and souvenirs. Solid 4/5.

Anniversary trip - It was a good trip but lengthy. I would have loved to spend more time in the Cenote only 40 minutes and Valladolid 30 minutes
