8 Wonders is great! - We loved our trip to Chichen Itza and the great people we were with! They picked us up on time at our hotel, and we were very comfortable in the bus (since it was such a long drive) Our tour guide spoke in English and Spanish, which I appreciated. He was funny and very knowledgeable. I felt safe and protected the whole time. We had plenty of time to explore Chichen Itza. We went to a cenote as well (so cool!) but didn't have a ton of time for that. We also got to shop in a couple of places, but not a ton of time for that. The bus did not have ports to charge your phone, which would've made it even better. It was so fun to explore different parts of Mexico and do it safely. Definitely recommend!

Nice day with room for some improvement - Well maintained and clean bus. Great guide at Chichen Itza. Cenote was very crowded and rushed. More time waiting for changing room than in the water. Get a locker as you wont be able to take your personal items with you to the Cenote platform. No need for mask in this one. Water is dark. While only for a few minutes, the cenote was a nice experience. Be aware the tour guide will invite you for other purchases on the bus. In particular, they will take a welcome photo of you and it later appears on a souvenir for purchase. Its a light pressure sale and “no thank you” is well received. Some of stops are clearly just for fast shopping. Our family’s perspective is the time would have been better spent at the cenote.

Ok just for Chichen Itza - Basically we booked this trip because we wanted the most time we could find in Chinchen Itza, 3 hours, and for the fact that the lunch would be after Chinchen Itza and not waste time in hugely overpriced stores only areas. (Usually people take more time than they it is scheduled, this shortening the visitation of the rest of the tour. Plus it's uncomfortable to go on a full stomach in extremely high weather) First we stopped at the lunch place, not Chinchen Itza. The lunch place I believe it's the "Mayan village", but I could be wrong, all the other tours offer. Basically a big store with multiple vendors that sell extraordinarly overpriced local/Mexican goods, and a restaurant on the side where you eat after 20-30 min of "shopping time". Then we went to Chinchen Itza where they said we have 2 hours of visiting, not 3. By the time we got there, we had like 1:45h. Then we went to Xenote Selva Maya, not to Xenote, where we spent an hour. And last we went to Valladolid, where we spent 30m Presentation: 1.Chichen Itza 3h 2.Valladolid 45m 3. Xenote Saamal 1h ( including meal) Reality: 1.Store area and after meal (I don't remember the time spent there) 2.Chichen Itza 1h 45m 3.Xenote Saamal 1h 4.Valladolid 30m Overall the staff was relatively friendly,so ok, the Chinchen Itza guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Inside they did try to sell things, but it.s a normal thing in these types of tours. If you feel uncomfortable, you can say no and they won't push. Schedule: 0/10 Time: 1/10 Staff: 9/10 Enjoyment: 9/10

Dont bother! I would rather have walked there! - TLDR, dont bother! Get a bus or hire a car. We were over an hour late setting off. Spent significantly more time getting the hard sell from the Mayan rest stop shop and guide than we did at the actual Chitchen itza site. The food was so bad that one kid spent the rest of the trip vomiting (likely the cold rice we were served). Due to the delays what was advertised as a 6+ hour trip, became, as requested turning up at 9.30am and being told we are hopefully going to be home by 7.30pm. If everyone manages to escape the gauntlet of shops between the bus park and Cenote on the way home. A number of people, us included have onward connections and or commitments to meet tonight (its new years eve) we have all expressed our concerns. To no avail. One person was told there are rooms at the Cenote if he is that worried about making his connection!
